In conclusion hunting is good for some people but bad for others. I see that it is a good thing since meat industry animals and hunting animals are not of the same source. As a result, there is no danger of getting shortage.

I never really believe in hunting. :disappointed: I understand that killing an injured animal is neccessary but hunting for food and for trophy, no not my thing.

I don't hunt, not that I have anything against it. I just fail to see what's so fun about romping about in the woods for a day. My father used to hunt, back when he lived somewhere where hunting was feasible. We don't have too many wild wolves or deer running around in southern California, and it's illegal to hunt mountain lions, the only real predator left in the area.

Simply put, hunting just doesn't rank as one of my "how I want to spend my freetime" activities, I'd be much happier with a book in hand.

I'm not so keen on people bringing back their dead animals on stuffing them though...that's just kind of gross. I mean, it's dead...why would you want a dead thing in your house?

I actulally live in the Netherlands, seu I guess hunting over there is a bit different. I am a vegetarian, so according to me killing animals isn't necesarry at all, but I can understand why people would hunt for food. For trophys is just... sick. Wow. Same opinion as everyone else x] However, I won't tell people to stop eating meat or hunting, just because I don't. But its not my thing.

trophy hunting is wrong. i mean when you live in a place like i do where deer are EVERYWHERE thats fine to me. but when youre hunting lions or something like that, its horrible

@DrawingDragon: I agree. Just because the meat industry exists doesn't mean that everyone has to buy from it. If there's less demand, they will raise less animals.

I s'pose hunting for food is natural but I couldn't stand actually taking the life of another animal. I can't even kill flies.... I just think that every life is valuable and beautiful. I don't see the sense in erasing a consience (did I spell that right?) from the world for fun, it's kinda harsh. And I love the way animals can give us insight into the natural world that civilisation has turned us away from.

That is just my opinion... *looks at chunk of text* wow... I may have gotten carried away.
