Some really good books that I've been reading are the Warriors trilogy by Erin Hunter, the Cat Royal adventure series by Julia Golding, and Spirit by J.P. Heightman. The last one is not in a series, FYI :) Hope that helps!

I think that somebody already talk about the "Assassin's Apprentice" of Robin Hobb, It's really a great book!!!!!!! :amused: and the "Magic Ship" series is also actually good :amused: In fact I actually love Robin Hobb!!!!!!!!!!! :amused:

... I concur, Robin Hobb wins!! my only problem with Assassin's apprentice is the fact that it is a 700 page book, and the entire plot happens in the last 50 pages. oh, and the fact that Fitz never actually assassinates anyone.

I really loved "The Death Gate Cycle" by Weis and Hickman. There's 7 books. "The Wings of a Falcon" by Cynthia Voigt. I also really love the Temeraire series (Naomi Novik). I just recently read "The Dragon and the Unicorn" by A. A. Attanasio and enjoyed that as well.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone! I think I now have enough book suggestions to last me about... oh, 3 weeks, not counting all the books I read before people suggested them.

I couldn't get through all of the Warriors series. It just seemed too....childish (no offense).

I love books by Peirs Anthony though. (Note: most of them would be rated R if turned into a movie),

If you're into original fantasy books, try out The Claidi Journals by Tanith Lee. They're very simply written books, but he world construction and character integration are wonderful. They're short reads, but very deilightful when you like reading things in non-cliche settings.

And for sci-fi, I really enjoyed The Dragonback Series by Timothy Zahn. Who wouldn't want a dragon tattoo that matierialized and became your life companion?

Ty for the suggestions!
I read the Claidi journals a couple years back. Very good books. I shall check out that Dragonback series.

I LOVE YOU! You read "The Death Gate Cycle"! I HIGHLY suggest this septology for any avid fantasy reader. This series is AMAZING by Weis and Hickman and it has recieved so LITTLE attention it makes me cry inside. I was hoping someone would mention this. *excited*

But beyond that, I did see people mention Ender's Game. Definitely a good read. Umm, skimmed a lot but 1984 and Animal Farm are reads that should be addressed. The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon is really good as well. :)

It really is an excellent series! It took me about 4 re-reads to actually catch all of the little details that come together in the storyline. I *still* love to go back and re-read it now and again, and I've had the books for years. Glad to see another fan :D

It is! I've re-read the series a few times as well and I never get tired of it. The first time I read it, I borrowed it from a friend. When I finally had the time and money to go out and buy it I just happened to find ALL the books at a used book store. You can only imagine my reaction. XD
