Here are a few rules and guidelines to help you get along in the discussion forums! (Copied from the previous messageboards)
1) This is a Discussion section, Not an
'If It Doesn't Go Anywhere Else You Can Put It Here Instead' section. This means that
games, role plays, website enquiries etc. do not belong here!! (Spam doesn't count as a type of discussion ;) ). If you have any clickables you want to show everyone (such as minicity links, eggs etc.) They go in the
Clickables topic.
2) Grammatically correct people are awesome; You can be too!! its genrly hrd 2 reed urp osts wen u ty(pe leik tis1. Your comments are not expected to be perfect- just readable and preferably not migraine-inducing :D
Also, taken from the NDA Site Stuff rules;

No Harassment:
Do not harass other users via e-mail, private messages, instant messages, or forum posts. If you are caught doing so with the message boards as your source, you will be promptly banned. There is no reason to bother other users. If you feel a user has offended you or stepped out of bounds, do not retaliate. Report them to the forum moderator or the admin and they will be dealt with.
If you find someone breaking the forum rules severely, don't reply. Replies and returned harassment only encourage the problem. Instead ignore them in the forums and report them to a moderator or the admin. THE MODERATORS will take according action. The user will be warned by the moderator or admin and reminded of the rules in hopes that they will correct their behaviour. If they do not, or if their offence was obviously of malicious intent, the user will be banner from the forums for no less then 90 days by the admin.

This is a PG, sometimes PG13 forum:
Please stay within the bounds of the rating.
Also, in an endeavor to improve the quality of the Discussion forum, here's a few tips to help you improve your comments. I know it's a bit long, but I encourage you to read through it at least once to help keep the Discussion forum neat and enjoyable for everyone.
As stated above, always remember that this is a discussion forum, and not so much an internet chat room, and not a place to post whatever doesn't belong in the other forums. As such, here are a few handy tips to aid you in posting here in the Discussion forum:
-----
1. - Make Sure All your Posts are On-Topic - A discussion is slightly above just chatting, all the threads here are made with a specific purpose in mind, and everyone posting in that thread should stick to the original purpose. For instance, if you're talking with your friend about the new car they just got, you're not going to go, "lol, the color of your car is kinda like cheese. I remember this one guy on Youtube who liked to stick a can of spray cheese up his nose and spray it until it came out his mouth. xDDDD". Posts like that are distracting to the thread, and are also a bit rude to the original poster. So always remember to keep to the point; even if the thread makes you think of something, if it's not what that thread is about, it doesn't belong there. If you feel like you really need to share it, find a thread that it is relevant to. Or, if no other thread is relevant, start a new one.
2. - Make Sure Your Posts Contribute - Every time you post, everyone who logs on to the forum is notified by those happy little dragon icons. So if someone is having a discussion, and someone were to post, "Yeah, lol." on it, not only does the forum have another pointless post, but everyone else who was interested in that discussion will check it, only to find that it hasn't changed at all. So always make sure that your post contributes to the thread in some way before hitting the post button. The Spam forum left with the old NDA, and has not returned with the Discussion forum. Also, on a larger scale: if you are starting a new thread, make sure your thread contributes to the overall forum. Pointless threads are better known as spam, which is not allowed, and will push more interesting topics down the page.
3. - Do Not Hijack Threads - Similar to the above two, don't
ever hijack another person's thread by posting your own content in it, be it art or discussion. If someone is having a discussion on say, dragons, and someone were to post, "I had a big discussion on dragons on this other forum! [link]". Then all the attention has been diverted from the original thread to something entirely different, which is extremely rude to the original poster. Hijacking a thread is not only rude, but it is also a great way to earn a bad reputation. If people expect you to hijack threads, they will be more likely to ignore you or even become hostile towards you, which can hurt feelings and create unwanted drama.
4. - Always be Kind and Courteous to Others - While it can be easy to forget sometimes, the people on this forum are not mindless internet zombies. They are real people with feelings and emotions, just like you. As such, you must always consider the other people on the forum before posting. Also remember that this sarcasm is very hard to display through text; though it might be quite hilarious in your mind while you're typing it, it might also be very hurtful to the person reading it. So always remember to keep things in context and see the matter from the other person's point of view. Flames, insults, and unnecessary criticism are not acceptable, ever. Also, if someone has offended you in some way, do
not deal with it on the public forums: doing so creates drama, which simply does not have a place on NDA. If it's something that needs to be sorted out, use the private message system. Don't parade your issues in public, just calmly and privately deal with the issue with the other person, and
only the other person. And if it's a serious issue that you feel needs resolved, contact a moderator.
5. - Do Your Best to Use Correct Grammar and Spelling - Again, this is a Discussion forum, it is not your cel phone and it should not be treated as such. You don't have to be an English professor to post legible content. A few grammatical and spelling errors are fine. "omg lulz do u gaiz liek dagrons cuz i do alot lol?!?!//11?!? cya l8a kthxbai!!!" is not. If you're not really confident in your grammar, just look up some tutorials, you can find a few basic ones to get started
here and
here. It's not too complicated and you don't have to write a novel with each post, it just has to be legible. And if you're not confident in your spelling, many online web browsers, such as Mozilla Firefox, will automatically spell-check anything you type, making it much easier to post correctly.
