*ramble time* I CANNOT draw humans, like, at ALL!! One time i tried making a face of a little kid randomly. I felt proud of it, but my brother said it was demented :-' Since I bought NDA's book i got into my "dragon-ish phase' and i wouldn't stop drawing them. I've been getting tired of not wanting to draw anything but dragons, so I couldn't practice on people when I was too busy making my dagrons better. Solution: I've been switching back to natural things and practicing birds and cats liked i used to. And after I practice those, I can try people one more time. And recently i've been trying anthro birds and reptiles that bear resemblence to the Sonic series characters and pokemon, so yeah. *ramble OVER* I would just agree w/ Neon there and switch to something different. Trust me, this happens A LOT for me. :wiii:

PS i need that third NDA book when it comes out or i might DIE

Also Neon has a book for Fantasy Characters and there's a segment on Humans. That could help if you need some inspiration.

Oh when I get artists block I get it bad I often get artists and writers block at the same time. when this happens I can't do anything that requires any real brainwork. I recover from writers block first and to do this I read books and watch Tv after a while after I start seeing random shows and movies I start thinking I could do this better by doing this... or by building off shows and movies and changing them in my head in really outrageous ways (Like Dragons Vrs. Transformers) and after that attemting to draw out some of the more outrageous scenes that I imagine in my head. after a while I start geting reasonable Ideas( ones that would make sense to anyone besides me) and start going with them. all it takes to get out off blocks is time paitience and stuborness.

Just do it. Don't make up excuses, just start drawing and eventually you'll start loving art again. Or atleast it helps me.

Somthing I did once:
Make a character who has a really different personality than what you usually draw. I get too into tragic stuff sometimes, and I really enjoyed drawing for a while while designing a character who's one of those happy-no-matter-what people.

I really don't know. Sometimes I feel like drawing and sometimes I don't...guess it's the way the world works...

I just scribble and scribble and use reference and scribble and doodle and carry on (albeit I end up frustrated at the same time) until something happens. If nothing doesn't, then I give it about a days break, and then come back to it. That usually works :)
