Hmm...does anyone know a good villain book? I've read a couple (Soon I will be Invincible, Villain.Net, Black and White) but I can't find anymore that aren't comics. I find them refreshing to read, a change from the stupid monotone reluctant hero/protagonist books that are now flooding the market.

There is a rather interesting power-corrupted "super-hero" I've just read about (and he actually still is a hero) who is an interesting and engaging character (finally!) It did change my view on them (the book markets are so full of stupid reluctant protagonists (that are all the same) that I've forgotten what a real power-hungry "hero" is).

So, a quick question - how would you define hero (not as in "my mother", but an actual definition)? Someone who will do the right thing no matter what (as in, sacrificing a city to save the entire planet, or not stopping until the 'villain' is gone from the face of the earth), or someone who does the most humane thing possible in a situation? These two often get mixed up :/

I tend to switch when I feel like it, and at a great inconvenience to others. I'm not good or evil, I have my own agenda.

I would be a neutral/hero. My life practically consists of making people around me feel good, at the same time I feel good when other people do. I feel a constant urge to help those who need it. I suppose that's a bit of "hero" in me.

I've never understood people wanting or even enjoying to be mean. I know people who do and their personality just saddens me. They ruin and manipulate the world around them, make enemies for no reason and blackmail friends if there's something in it for them.

Of course if you're an actor it'll be more fun to play the villain, or a hero with a bit of villain to them. Simple reason is they're bad-ass most of the time so it gives the actor the reputation of bad-ass which I suppose is a nice rep to have when you're in the business.

I like the freakish insane vilain who likes a bad girl and to get the girls attention he stops killing people

I'd be a chaotic good character - Plays for the right team, but isn't afraid to break the rules to achieve his goals.
