Small question, has anyone experienced participating in a Forum RP? If this is in the wrong place, sorry.

Personally, I've had a great experience with RPs, I have three running under me and I'm a member in one. It's a great way to express oneself and I wanted to know if anyone here has experienced it.

I am part of one, but am having alot of trouble with grammer and spelling. But I keep work at it.

@GoredGuar: They're very addicting aren't they? It's always an exhilarating experience when you do something important with your character. Do you play in advanced RP's? The ones that require at least one to two paragraphs and concentrate on character development and constant motion of the story?

@Draco19: One time or another, we've all passed through that phase. You'll improve with time! Keep it up.

Actually, I've joined three forum RPs, in two of them I am the GM. I have another forum where there's this one RP of mine that could be classified as an Advanced RP. Due to the sheer amount of information for THAT RP, I actually had to create a wiki. If anyone wants to see the wiki, it's here: World of Sylfe Wiki

Actually I'm stuck in that phase. I may end up starting my own rp as I may need help with that. If that happens, then if anyone wants to join it, can, but I doubt anyone will want to. RP'ing is addicting and fun to do though.

I love RPs for the whole fact you never know what the other person is going to say / do in response to your post. It really makes you think on your feet!

Mmm, yes. In the more advanced RPs I do we tend to write about 1-3 paragraphs depending on what's happening. And it is fun watching the story and character develop!

The old RP section on this site was where I first discovered RP'ing, even though I didn't join in. I've been doing it for about a year (and a half?) on another forum, where it's semi-advanced by this forum's standards. I'm thinking about GM'ing something new this summer, since the last game I ran was months and months ago.

Actually, I'm looking for Roleplayers to an RP of mine that started years ago. I recently restarted the entire thing since it was nine chapters of a plot that could no longer be followed. Right now I have about five players on that RP and I'm in need of more members. Well, far as that's concerned, if anyone's interested the RP's info is on my wiki. Yeah, not being sure of what the RP-ers would do is part of what makes it fun.

When I start an RP, my favorite phase in making it, is the worldbuilding phase. It simply is very nice creating all the subtleties and complexities of the world.

It's a fantasy style RP.
