If it's a physical piece of artwork, you'll need to photograph or scan your image to get it on your computer. From there, you can upload the file to a gallery like deviantart, an image dump like photobucket, or simply use the "attach file" feature to attach it directly to the board. To post in GALLERY LINK you should be linking to your gallery, one like deviantart or your own homepage.

OK I have my pictures saved onto a file and I tried loading them onto a post, but when I tried to add them to the post it said the file was too large. Is there a specific way to attach them?

There is no specific way to attach them, it's just that your files are too large. Try opening them with a graphics program and making them smaller. Under one of the menus like file or tools or image or whatever, there'll probably be something that says image size or adjust size.
I recommend making your image somewhere around 500x500 pixels. You can also try saving your files as jpegs, those are smaller than some different file sizes.

Most likely you'll need to downsize the image.

Most scanners and camera take very high resolution images; that means that, on a computer monitor, the 100% zoomed in image is a lot bigger than the actual picture. This is so it prints at high quality. However, it also makes the files themselves very large; so in order to post them online you'll need to shrink them down a bit.

I know Gimp can size images down, and I'm pretty sure MS Paint can. Alternatively, if you upload directly to photobucket, there's an option you can select so that it will size them down for you when it uploads.

Just bear in mind that images posted directly on the forums (meaning they show up without you having to click a link) are limited to 800 pixels in width; so if it's any larger than that it'll need to be further downsized or posted as a link. :)

Glad you got it figured out! :)

Though remember that this is the Gallery link folder, so individual pieces of art shouldn't be posted here. You should start up a thread in either, "Finished Art", "Art Critique", or, "Work in Progress" and post it there. :D

The dragon does look good, though. :3
