chapter 22!!! what will happen now?

Chapter 22

Broken promises……

“So, now you’re all caught up.” Sheik said to Lucius as he passed him. Lucius ducked another spear and then blocked one with his.
“Thanks for the update.” Lucius grunted.
Sheik dodged Zara’s tail as it whipped at him then he jumped in closer and managed to slice her arm. His dagger deflected like her skin was steel. He cursed and tried to get away but Zara backhanded him and sent him flying. He hit against a column and took off chunks of stone.
Sheik landed on his hands and knees and coughed up blood into the water, “Crap, that was my rib.”
“Sheik!?” Meria called to him.
“I’m fine.” Sheik said standing back up clutching his side.
“Says you.” Zara whispered in his ear as she coiled around him.
She squeezed and Sheik cried in pain as she cracked more of his ribs. His sage energy gathered and he phased out of her grasp through the shadows.
She uncoiled confused and looked up just in time to see Meria’s staff slam across her face.
“You may not be able to be sliced but I can sure whack the crap out of you.” Meria said hitting her again. She went for another blow but Zara caught it and looked at Meria. She didn’t even have a bruise.
“No you can’t.” Zara hissed with a sinister smile. She gripped the staff harder and put dents in it then threw it along with Meria. She scooped up a chunk of stone and threw it at Meria as she landed. Meria saw it coming and rolled to the right so it missed.
Zara was just about to throw another one when one of Selene’s light spears hit her on the side of the head making her drop the stone. Selene threw another one but this one wasn’t as powerful and the next was less than that one. Selene realized she was running out of energy. Zara came for her and Selene brought up her morning star to fight.
Zara closed in but a stream of water whipped up and wrapped around her throat. Selene dodged back as Zara was clothes lined. She followed the stream and saw it was Lucius who had made it.
“You stay out of this, I’m doing this to keep you safe.” Zara screamed at him.
“I can’t do that Zara, they’re my friends.” Lucius retorted and used another water whip to latch around her left wrist.
“They’re going to take you away from me!” Zara screamed at him again and threw a spear at Meria’s general direction. Meria cried out in surprise and dodged to the right but Zara threw another one right after the first and it was heading strait for her. Sheik’s top half appeared through the shadow of the column next to her and he pulled her through in time to dodge the spear. They emerged behind the fallen column.
Zara glared at Lucius like a wounded puppy, “Don’t leave me, I’ve been so alone.”
Zara slashed at the whips with her free hand and severed them but they came back again. She cried in frustration and moved to hit Lucius away. Lucius dodged back loosing his concentration and making the whips go back into the water. Selene came from behind Zara and slammed her morning star into Zara’s back, the points dented. Zara backhanded Selene who blocked the initial strike with her shield but still flew back from the force of it.
Gerad picked Selene up and moved her behind a column, “How can we defeat her?”
“Well, I wish we had G-Link, maybe fire could do it.” Selene said holding her arm and rubbing some life back into it; her hand glowed and healed the bruised muscles.
“Well, I have his medallion, and Calhan said it would lend me powers.” Gerad said hesitantly as he pulled it out.
“Well, give it a try, what’s the worst that could happen?” Selene asked.
Gerad couldn’t help but think of all the things that could possibly happen, “Oh, you know, it might explode, or make lava and kill us all, or-“
“Ok I get it. Then go stand over there and try it.” Selene said pointing to the other side of the room.
Gerad glared at her, “Gee, thanks.”
She smiled at him in sisterly affection and stuck out her tongue, “Anytime.”
Selene left him there and went back in to fight along with Meria and Sheik. Lucius tried to fight but Zara kept pushing him away.
‘Ok, I don’t know how to activate you, but please, help me out here.’ Gerad pleaded with the pendant in his thoughts. The Fire medallion started to glow red as Gerad stared at it in his hands.
Gerad cried out in surprise when his fists caught fire. After a minute of trying to put them out he discovered they weren’t burning, they were just on fire.
“Ok.” Gerad said and went to fight. Zara caught sight of him and turned to face him striking out with her claws. Gerad dodged them and punched her across the face. Her skin blistered from the heat. Gerad didn’t relent as Zara began to retreat away from him. She blocked but everytime she did she would get burned.
Gerad was growing tired; the energy was being sucked out of him to fuel the flames. Finally his fists went out and Gerad sank to the floor gasping. Zara was on the floor leaning against the wall panting from the pain of her burns.
“Why, Zara?” Lucius asked her from behind Gerad.
She looked up at him from a burnt and blistered face and smiled, “Because I love you.”
Lucius kneeled next to her, he brushed her hair out of her face, “Zara, you aren’t even real.”
She looked up into his eyes and saw only coldness there, “How do you know?”
“Wait, Zara isn’t real?” Sheik asked from behind the column.
“No, Zara isn’t real, in a sense, she’s the alter ego of Lara and Lara is her alter ego.” Lucius answered without taking his eyes off of Zara.
“So, Zara and Lara are the same person?” Meria asked confused.
“Yes, two halves of the same coin.” Lucius answered.
“When did you find out?” Zara asked him, she coughed and black blood came with it.
“When I was trapped in the crystal, you tend to pay attention to things when you have no where to go. I went and visited the previous sages and they told me.” Lucius answered her, wiping the blood from her chin.
“So, Zara and Lara are two halves of the same person who is/was?” Gerad asked coming to stand next to Lucius incase Zara tried to hurt him.
“Aramasha.” Lucius sighed with a sympathetic look on his face.
“She’s gone, been gone for centuries. Once he put her inside of the crystal we took over.” Zara hissed becoming angry again.
“And Aramasha was?” Meria asked.
“The high mystic four centuries ago. Zara and Lara were once a Zora.” Lucius replied looking Zara in the eye.
“They aren’t bad people, Zara. They aren’t trying to take me away from you.” Lucius said softly.
“But they make you leave Zora’s Domain!” Zara cried.
“But I always come back.” Lucius said cupping Zara’s face in his hands, “And besides, you can always reach me.”
Zara stared into his eyes confused by her feeling of hatred and love, “But….”
“You said you love me Zara. Now, do you trust me?” Lucius asked.
Zara thought long and hard about what he was asking her, she searched through her memories of their talks. Looking back up into his eyes she came to a conclusion.
“You want me to help you seal Lara and get Sasha back. You want me to die.” Zara said calmly, she took his hands gently from her face.
Lucius looked at her confused, “No, Zara, I don’t want you to die. We can seal Lara without sealing you too.”
Zara chuckled and gently pushed his hands away, “You’re so naïve, Lucius. Two sides of a coin remember; you can’t take one side from the other.”
“She’s right.” A different voice came from Zara’s lips. Lucius jumped back as Zara looked up. Her eye was in the left socket.
“Lara! Where’s Zara?” Lucius demanded through clenched teeth.
“With me now. You are such a troublesome tadpole, Lucius. But if you want her back you’ll have to defeat me, but if you defeat me, you’ll loose Sasha. Tsk tsk, what ever will you do?” Lara teased him as she started to disintegrate.
“Lara!” Lucius screamed at her as she started to cackle. Lucius jumped at her and got his hands around her throat.
She smiled in sadistic humor, “See you soon.”
She disappeared out of his hands and Lucius cried in frustration striking the wall. He stood there shaking in anger while his friends watched in concern. Selene put her hand on his back and he stiffened.
“What’s the plan?” Sheik asked.
Lucius turned to face them and they all took a step back in fear, his eyes were bright blue and his scales came out to become armor. He walked past them to his spear and yanked it out of the ground.
Looking back at them he hissed, “We kill Lara.”

see you guys next week ^_^

Happy thanksgiving!!!! and early christmas present for you guys ^_^

second ha;f of chapter 22

He struck his spear out to the side then swung it to his front parallel to the floor. The water followed his movements and Lucius started twirling his spear above his head. The water shot up around him in a vortex, the rest of them got sucked into the whirlpool as Lucius rose on top of it. He shot towards the ceiling with the water trailing behind him and the others in the water. He struck the ceiling and shot through to the lake bed outside the Temple.
Once in the lake Lucius continued to rise and burst through the surface of the water. He landed on the island along with Sheik, Meria, Gerad, and Selene, who were a tad dizzy.
“What was that?” Sheik asked trying to stand back up but only falling back over onto the ground.
“If Calhan were here he could tell you. But he might take years to explain it.” Gerad said with a chuckle.
“Oooh, don’t make me laugh.” Selene said, Gerad looked at her and noticed she was a little green in the face.
“Once you are well to fight head to the entrance of Zora’s Domain.” Lucius said pointing with his spear toward the bank. Gerad looked to where he pointed and saw pillars jutting out of the water.
“Why didn’t we take that way in the first place?” Sheik asked standing back up. He swayed slightly but kept his feet.
“What are you going to do?” Meria asked Lucius as he walked to the edge of the island.
“I’m going ahead; catch up as soon as possible.” Lucius answered over his shoulder. He dove off the edge into the water and disappeared from sight. Selene groaned and then gave the plants next to the tree a present. Meria held her hair out of the way as Selene emptied the contents of her stomach.
“She doesn’t do spinning very well.” Gerad said to Sheik.
“Ehk, thanks Meria.” Selene said walking to the water, she cupped some in her hands and used it to rinse her mouth.
“Feeling better?” Gerad asked her.
“A little, let’s go.” Selene said standing with Gerad’s help.

Ganondorf’s brat stared at his left arm that was missing from the elbow down. He didn’t cry in pain he just looked in curiosity as the blood pumped out. He looked back at Lara and grinned again as he attacked once more.
“What’s the mater old one? You’re getting slower.” Dahrin cried as Lara tried to block his attacks, some of which landed. Lara slithered back confused as to why this one could inflict damage on her. She looked down at the gashes on her body and hissed.
Dahrin cackled as he relentlessly attacked and unmercifully slaughtered the monsters that got in his way of Lara. Lara fought back and inflicted wounds that should have killed him but only seemed to exhilarate him. Lara turned to run but Dahrin grabbed her by the tail and pulled her back. He took his sword out of his teeth and swung for her neck. She jump forward and bit him on the shoulder.
“Stupid.” Dahrin hissed and punched at her face and grabbed her by the hair ripping her from his shoulder. She struggled to get loose and whipped him with her tail. He didn’t even blink. An arm materialized out of the stump that remained of his left one and a sword materialized into it.
“Crap.” Lara growled.
Dahrin swung and Lara shot a ball of energy into his chest making him let go of her hair and him flying back. Dahrin stood up from where he landed and came for her once more.
Suddenly Lucius appeared in front of Dahrin and stabbed him through the chest with his spear. Dahrin stared at the spear and then at Lucius and grinned.
“Hello, Water Sage. Come to send me back have you?” Dahrin rasped out coughing up blood. Lucius shoved Dahrin back and embedded the spear into the wall. Talons gripped Dahrin from the spear’s shaft keeping him in place.
“No, only keeping you out of the way for now.” Lucius answered turning away.
“Tch. Oi, this is my fight!” Dahrin screamed at him.
Lucius turned a cold gaze on him, “Not anymore.”

Gerad swam through the entrance Lucius had shown them to the surface of the lake inside Zora’s Domain. He glanced around to see if the coast was clear and saw no one. He swam to the bank and climbed out, shivering.
“Why, is this water always freezing cold?” Gerad asked to the wall.
Selene, Sheik, and Meria joined him shortly after, shivering as well. Sheik’s lips were blue he was so cold.
“Let’s go. Maybe moving will warm us up.” Meria suggested as she stood. The others agreed and they left heading in the direction they thought the market cavern was.
“Goddesses, what is that smell?” Selene asked covering her nose. They emerged from a corridor into what used to be the market cavern. Corpses lay everywhere, most monsters, but some people.
“Come on, I think I see Meko.” Gerad said moving to the right. The others followed him and they came to the fortification. Monsters, charred and blackened corpses, slowed their pace.
“Yo.” G-Link greeted them as they climbed their way over the dead into the fortification.
“You’re alive!” Sheik called out running up to him.
“Why wouldn’t we be?” Aerica asked from the wall behind G-Link.
“I wasn’t trying to imply that you’re in any way incompetent-“ Sheik began but was interrupted by Meria putting her hand on his shoulder, “Foot in mouth.”
Aerica laughed then winced, “Good to see you all alive as well, where’s Lucius?”
“He’s here somewhere, where’s Dahrin?” Selene asked looking around.
Aerica shrugged, “He’s here somewhere.”
“Are any of you hurt?” Kelith asked coming to tend to Aerica’s wounds. Aerica held out her arm for Kelith to inspect, it was covered in blood, most of it her own green.
“I don’t know, I’m fine.” Gerad said looking to the others.
Sheik tried to play off his wounds but he coughed and blood came up with it, “Guess not.”
“Lay down, I’ll get to you soon.” Kelith said as she cleaned Aerica’s arm.
“I’ll do it.” Selene said standing next to Sheik and gathering her energy. She slapped her hands together then put them on his ribs. The point of contact began to glow and got brighter and brighter. Finally it dimmed and she took her hands away and Sheik’s ribs were healed.
“Thanks.” Sheik said with a smile then caught Selene as she tipped sideways.
“You alright?” Gerad asked her helping her to sit down.
“Heh, I guess. I’m so tired.” Selene whispered drifting into unconsciousness.
Gerad started to shake her awake but a hand on his shoulder stopped him he looked up the arm to Kelith’s smiling face.
“She’s alright. Let her be, all of you get rest while you can.” Kelith ordered as she left them to tend to some other soldiers. Gerad chuckled and sank down to the floor next to Aerica. Her arm was wrapped from wrist to shoulder and she just stared at it.
“What’s wrong?” Gerad asked her.
“Remember back when the stalfos attacked us, and my arm was cut off?” Aerica asked him still staring at her arm.
Gerad nodded, “Yeah, not likely a night I’ll ever forget. Why?”
Aerica chuckled, “Yeah, I know. Well, this was that arm, heh, guess I’m just destined to loose it.”
Gerad shrugged, “You haven’t yet despite things, so maybe you’re destined to keep it?”
Aerica looked at him and smiled, “Thanks. I missed you guys.” Aerica leaned her head on Gerad’s shoulder and he leaned his cheek on her. G-Link started snoring and everyone relaxed slightly.
Suddenly Lucius crashed through the opposite wall followed closely by Lara. Everyone jumped to their feet but were blown back down by a blast of water that circled around Lucius. Lucius fought Lara with ferocious force who attacked back with equal force. Lucius wielded a spear made out of ice and also the water that circled him. Lara used her claws, teeth, and tail.
Monsters started to pour into the hole Lucius and Lara had made and the rest of the group fought them with what strength they had left.
Lucius sliced and stabbed with his spear at Lara and managed to do significant damage. Lara glared at him and fought back but wasn’t able to get a hit in. Lara lunged for Lucius but missed when he sidestepped and managed to make her fall. Lara rolled over to see Lucius with his spear to her throat.
“I win.” Lucius hissed at her.
Lara laughed, “This isn’t over by far Water Sage.”
“You’re beaten, Lara. You have nowhere to go.” Lucius said pressing his spear closer to her throat. Lara backed away as much as she could but the ground didn’t let her go far. Lara’s monsters had stopped fighting waiting for instructions from their mistress.
Lara laughed, “I have anywhere to go, tadpole.” With that she exploded into water.
Lucius backed away surprised and looked around him at the startled exclamations from the others as Lara’s monsters exploded into water as well. All the water pooled to in front of Lucius and rose slowly taking on the form of Lara.
Lara’s watery face broke into a grin, “Tootles Water Sage, guess you won’t keep your promise.”
Lucius swung at her but his spear just passed through her. She cackled and the water fell to the ground and washed away toward the lake. Lucius stabbed at it but it did nothing. He slammed his spear into the ground once more and cried out in frustration.
Gerad came up to him and put his hand on his shoulder, “Don’t worry, we’ll get her.”

chapter 23!!! yay!!! :) well first half

Chapter 23

New mission…

Dahrin groaned, his head felt like it was going to explode and his body didn’t feel any better. He slowly opened his eyes to dim light and looked at his surrounding. He was in the healing ward of Zora’s Domain. He brought his arm up to rub his eyes and saw his arm covered in bandages. He sat up slowly and saw that all his exposed flesh was covered in bandages.
“Ok. What happened?” Dahrin asked out loud.
“I was hoping you’d tell me.” Selene whispered from his left.
Dahrin looked in her direction and saw her sitting in a chair wrapped in a blanket. A candle was burning next to her on a small table. In the candle light she looked exhausted.
“Have you gotten sleep?” Dahrin asked her swinging his legs off of the cot so he could face her. Selene chuckled and scooted down into the chair more.
“More or less. More less than more.” Selene said with amusement.
Dahrin chuckled then hissed when it hurt his wounds, “How is everyone? I assume we won.”
Selene shrugged, “Sort of, Lara retreated. Everyone’s alive. Sasha is trapped in the Temple, there’s nothing we can do for her at the moment.”
“How’s Lucius taking it?” Dahrin asked.
“He’s surviving. He blames himself. I’m more worried about you though.” Selene said.
Dahrin looked at her puzzled, “Why?”
“You don’t remember anything?” Selene pushed.
Dahrin thought about it, “I was fighting Lara, and loosing. She choked me and I blacked out. I regained consciousness and found myself in the midst of monster, I put my shield up and then-“
Dahrin stopped he wasn’t sure if he should tell Selene about his incident with black Dahrin. He wasn’t even sure if it had been real or just his oxygen deprived hallucinations.
“And then what?” Selene asked concerned. She was leaning forward slightly.
“And then I blacked out again. Next thing I knew I was here.” Dahrin lied, he could remember vaguely his second fight with Lara, though it was more like he had just sat and watched it from behind his own eyes. He remembered his arm being severed but like it had happened to someone else. He even remembered Lucius, he had been frightening when he had stabbed Dahrin through the chest and pinned him to the wall.
Selene gave a small sigh, “Well, here’s what happened when we found you.”

“And why did you stab him in the chest again?” Selene asked for the tenth time. Lucius sighed and sank to the floor; he was too tired to try to explain what he had done in his sage mode.
“If I hadn’t of pinned him there he would have gotten himself and/or all of us killed. What we need to do now is figure out how to get him back to normal. This is temporary; I think.” Lucius said standing back up and moving closer to Dahrin who was grinning at them like a maniac. His eyes still swirled black and orange but it appeared the orange was increasing.
“From what I can tell his two sage spirits are fighting for dominance, it’s too early to know which will win.” Calhan said standing on Dahrin’s left.
“What two sage spirits? Dahrin’s just the Spirit Sage isn’t he?” Sheik asked from where he sat on a chunk of the pillar Lara had knocked through. He felt queasy looking at his best friend stabbed through the chest to the wall.
“Well, as we should all have figured out by now, Dahrin is the son of Ganondorf. As such he has a piece of the Evil sage inside of himself. It happens when sages mate, that way the sage spirit has somewhere to go already when the sage dies. But since Ganondorf mated with another sage both spirits entered Dahrin. And from what I can tell they’re fighting for dominance.” Calhan explained.
“Ok, so how do we help him?” Gerad asked.
“I don’t believe we can.” Calhan said as he sighed.
“There’s gotta be a way.” Selene said looking from Calhan back to Dahrin.
Meria turned to Lucius, “Can you do what you did for Sheik back in Kokoriko?”
Lucius looked at her with sad eyes, “It might kill him and the person I let in there. Throwing someone into the middle of a fight between two people isn’t the healthiest of ideas.”
“I’m willing to give it a shot if it’ll help Dahrin.” Selene said coming to stand next to Lucius.
“Like heck you will! I’m not letting you put yourself in danger.” Gerad said turning her to face him. Selene shook off his arm, “It’s my decision to make whether I risk my life for someone else.”
“But who says it has to be you?” Gerad asked crossing his arms defiantly.
Selene took a breath to shout back but couldn’t think of anything to retort with. She turned to Lucius, “Please, let me do this.”
Lucius turned to face her and looked deep into her eyes; he saw only love for Dahrin there and a pleading for him to help her save him.
“Ok, I’ll help you. Try not to die in the process.” Lucius sighed.
“Hell no!” Gerad cried, “You’re not throwing my little sister to a potential death! I refuse!”
“The only reason I’m your little sister is because you happen to come out first!” Selene yelled back.
“Doesn’t matter, I wouldn’t let you do it if you were older, you’re my sister, I’m not gonna let you get killed!” Gerad said turning to her again.
The rest of the group watched in stunned silence at the two siblings quarrel.
“Uh, Ger-“ Calhan started.
“Stay out of this Lore Sage!” Gerad cut him off without even glancing at him.
“I love him, Gerad.” Selene said.
“I know that. But it doesn’t make a difference, you’re not going.” Gerad said.
“Oh, but its ok for you to risk your life and not me?” Selene asked sarcastically.
“Yes.” Gerad replied crossing his arms again.
“HA! Why is that?” Selene sneered.
“Cause I’m older than you.” Gerad stated.
“Big woop! Still doesn’t mean you have to, G-Link could do it instead. But no you have to be the one to always risk your life, not letting others step up in your place, because you can’t stand the thought of loosing any of us, but what about our feelings about loosing you?!” Selene cried as tears began to fall down her face. Gerad didn’t answer.
“I don’t want to loose you both. And I don’t want to loose any of my friends.” Selene whispered.
Gerad sighed, “Now you know why I risk my life.”
Selene sniffed and rubbed her eyes, “Well now you’ll know what its like to be the one to have to wait.”
Lucius pinched the bridge of his nose as he tried to seek patience, “Gerad, it’ll be alright. I think they have enough of a bond for her to be safe. You don’t need to freak out.”
Gerad looked at Lucius who took an involuntary step back from the hostile glare he got. Selene stepped up to Gerad and turned his face to her once more.
“Gerad, please, let me save the man I love.” Selene asked begging him with her eyes to let her, his little sister, out from under his wing.
Gerad sighed, and Selene’s heart wrenched at the pain she heard in that sigh, “Don’t you dare die on me. Promise me Selene.”
Selene smiled at him in understanding, “I promise.”
The others sat back and watched as Lucius walked to Dahrin’s right side and had Selene stand on Dahrin’s left. Dahrin watched in curiosity as Lucius put Selene’s hand over his head and heart.
“Close your eyes.” Lucius ordered.
Selene did as bided and felt herself get lighter.
‘Open your eyes.’ Selene heard Lucius’s voice.
Selene opened her eyes and saw fire swirling all around her, she screamed in fear as the fire licked at her flesh then stopped screaming cause it didn’t burn her. She looked around and saw she was enveloped in an orange shield.
Dahrin appeared out of the flames, but he looked like the one pinned to the wall, “Hi, sparkles. Here to seal me again are you?”
“Who are you?” Selene asked turning to face him.
Black Dahrin laughed, “I’m the Evil Sage’s Spirit. I always liked the name Eshen. So we’ll go with that, sparkles.”
Eshen reached out to stroke her face but the shield repelled him. He cried out at the shock he got and sucked his fingers.
“Leave her alone.” Another Dahrin appeared on the other side of Selene. She turned to face the new comer but it wasn’t her Dahrin. This one had orange glowing eyes instead of the amber ones she longed to see.
“Who are you?” Selene asked him.
“He’s the Spirit Sage’s Spirit. I call him Sprite.” Eshen cackled.
Selene raised her eyebrows at Eshen, clearly this guy was insane. Eshen continued to cackle and Selene turned back to the sage spirit. He returned her curious gaze calmly.
“Where’s my Dahrin?” Selene asked him.
“He is safe.” He answered as he blocked an attack from Eshen who still cackled.

and here is the rest of chapter 23 ^_^ hope you likes!

Selene felt her spirit bubble move as the sage spirit moved her behind himself so Eshen couldn’t hurt her.
“I’m here to help, let me out of the bubble.” Selene called to him as he fought.
“If I let you out, you will die.” He answered. He didn’t even glance at her as he answered.
“Well, where is Dahrin, let me go to him.” Selene called out to him.
“You cannot.” The spirit answered.
“Yeah, good ol’ Dahrin is the whole reason we’re doing this.” Eshen answered as he kept slashing at the spirit. The spirit blocked each attack and inflicted wounds every time he attacked. To Selene it seemed the spirit was stronger then Eshen. But this didn’t deter Eshen from attacking, even when the spirit chopped off his right arm.
‘Lucius, why am I even here? The Spirit Sage is winning.’ Selene thought to Lucius.
There was no answer. Selene waited as she watched the fight and Eshen lost his other arm, but more shot out of his torso.
‘Lucius?’ She asked.
Still no answer, she began to get worried.
“Oi, Sparkles, what’s the matter? You don’t like my company?” Eshen asked as the fires dissipated and the spirit bubble disappeared. She landed with a thump onto the ground. Glancing around she didn’t see the spirit. Eshen came and crouched down in front of where she had landed.
“Eshen, what’s going on? Where did the Sage spirit go?” Selene asked starting to panic; she didn’t want to be trapped in here alone with the Evil sage spirit.
Eshen cackled and Selene scooted away from him a little bit, “He’s been gone, I swallowed him long time ago.”
“You’re lying.” Selene said back narrowing her eyes.
“HA! Wana bet? Dahrin’s gone too. I ate him right after the other sage spirit. Now it’s only me in here.” Eshen said leaning forward onto his hands and knees. He crawled closer to her and she scooted back more. Still smiling insanely he moved his legs up to where he was resting on his heels.
“I still don’t believe you. And even if it’s true I’ll get them back.” Selene said glaring at him.
Eshen reached out his right hand and twirled some of her hair between his finger, “I always liked you Sparkles.” He jerked and Selene cried out in pain as he pulled her to him by the hair he had in his hand.
She felt something wrap around her body but couldn’t move her head to see what it was because Eshen had her head bent back to look up at him. His tongue slithered out of his mouth and licked her cheek.
Selene grunted in disgust and brought her right hand up and punched him in the nose. Blood spewed and whatever had her loosened as Eshen let go of her hair and grabbed his nose. Selene looked and saw black tendrils wrapped around her middle. She scooted out of them while Eshen was distracted and stood up. She kicked the side of his head before she ran.
Selene tripped when she couldn’t bring her foot she had used to kick Eshen down. She looked back to see Eshen holding her foot. He laughed as he dragged her back. He grabbed her by the throat with his other hand and let go of her foot. Selene grabbed the hand that was on her throat and twisted it. Eshen was overbalanced and he fell. Selene managed to twist out from under him using his momentum to twist his arm around behind his back and pin him face down onto the ground with her knee in the middle of his back.
Eshen cackled at the pain as she twisted his arm to the point of breaking, “Sparkles, I’m impressed, you’ve got spunk. I likes it.”
Selene cried in horror as Eshen’s head twisted completely around to face her. She heard the bones of his neck snap as he grinned up at her. She let go of him and jumped away as he stood up. He turned his head back around the correct way still grinning at her.
“What are you?” Selene gasped out stepping away from him.
“I already told you, I’m the Evil sage spirit, part of it anyways. You see when Ganondorf was sealed you all thought I was with him. That idiot fortunately had a kid on the way before then so I had someplace to go.” Eshen said stepping closer to her.
Selene backed into something that felt like a wall, till it grabbed her. She screamed in surprise as the wall swallowed her arms and legs. She tried to pull her arms free but only managed to get her hands out. She was stuck spread eagle on the wall with no way out.
“Let me go!” Selene cried as Eshen stopped a few feet from the wall.
“Ha! Heck no, you’re far too interesting. Now what shall I do to you first?” Eshen purred as he moved closer. He twirled some of her hair as he smiled at her.
‘Lucius! Anybody!’ Selene screamed in her mind.
A dagger appeared in Eshen’s hand and he slid it along her thigh slicing her pants leg.
“DAHRIN!” Selene cried as loud as she could. She desperately wanted him to save her.
Eshen stopped mid cackle and slowly backed away from her. Selene blinked through her tears and saw Eshen drop the dagger and grab his head.
“NO! Stay put, darn you! I’m in control now.” Eshen screamed.
Selene watched in awe as light erupted from Eshen’s shoulder joint and his arm blew off. He continued to scream as he slowly blew apart. The wall that held Selene dissolved and she fell to the floor.
“You haven’t won; I’ll still be here waiting for the day you slip in control. Just wait Dahrin; I will have you body and mind.” Eshen’s head cried out in defiance and then blew apart. The light slowly faded and Dahrin stood there gasping.
“My thanks, Light Sage.” Selene heard behind her.
She twisted and saw the Spirit sage spirit. He calmly regarded her as she slowly stood up glancing back and forth between him and Dahrin. Dahrin had turned to face them and just waited.
“You’re welcome. Now what?” Selene asked as Dahrin moved closer to them.
“The evil is sealed. You may leave.” The spirit said dissipating.
Selene looked back at Dahrin who had stopped a few feet behind her. Dahrin started to say something but Selene cut him off by running into his arms. Dahrin hushed her sobs as he held her close to him stroking her hair.
“You were so brave.” Dahrin whispered.
Selene choked out a laugh, “You would have done the same for me. Are you going to be normal now?”
“Yeah, Eshen won’t bother us anymore. From now on I’m just the Spirit sage.” Dahrin said tilting her head up to look at him. Selene smiled and kissed him.
‘Selene! Selene, can you hear me?!’ Selene heard Lucius voice in her head rather loudly.
‘Yes, I can hear you now. Why did we lose connection?’ Selene asked him pulling away from Dahrin.
‘I’m not sure, but is everything ok now?’
‘Yes, we fixed things in here.’ Selene answered wrapping her arms around Dahrin again.
‘That’s wonderful. You should come out now. Kelith will need your help in fixing Dahrin.’ Lucius told her gently. Selene closed her eyes and felt herself get light then really heavy. She opened them again and found herself staring at Lucius again.
Lucius let go of her hands and gripped the spear. Dahrin was unconscious, thankfully, as Lucius jerked the spear out. Gerad and Calhan caught Dahrin as he fell and laid him on a mat Kelith had put down. Someone had found his arm and had laid it on the mat as well.
Kelith motioned for Selene to come help and she did as bided, “Help me heal the wound in his chest, then we can move to the arm.”
Selene nodded and gathered her sage energy. She put her hands on Dahrin’s chest just over the wound and they started to pulse. The rest of the group had to look away for the brightness of the light emanating from Selene and Kelith.
Selene gasped in a breath as the wound closed and her light dissipated. Kelith took a deep breath and started on the arm, Selene followed suit and together they were able to reconnect it.
Dahrin’s breathing became even and Selene smiled then passed out.

“And that’s the last I know of, I woke up a few hours later in here, but you’ve been out for almost two days.” Selene concluded the story.
Dahrin was silent as he thought about what she had told him. He didn’t like the fact that Eshen was still in his head and could potentially get loose again.
“Ah, you’re awake. Good.” Gerad said coming up to them followed by everyone else.
“Yeah, I guess.” Dahrin said yawning.
“Well, let me brief you on what we’ve decided.” Gerad said crouching down next to the cot. Dahrin gave him his full attention.
“I’m sure you’ve noticed that everywhere we go ancient monsters tend to pop up?” Gerad asked him.
Dahrin chuckled, “Yeah, I’ve noticed.”
“Well, Calhan has a theory about that. Calhan?” Gerad said turning to him.
“From what I can tell, Ganondorf is resurrecting old evils, like he did the previous time. We seem to be only a few steps behind him. We’ve been fortunate so far that the monsters weren’t up to their full strengths. Seeing as how they’ve just been ‘Woken up’ we’ve been able to beat them into retreating for the time being. Sheik managed to get Arachnis to back down, with a challenge to duke it out in four years. G-Link fought Claire, and defeated her shell so Fosrow escaped. From what I know of Fire Elements, once released from a shell they take a few years to recover. And then that brings us to Lara.” Calhan paused turning to Lucius.
“She’ll be one to wait and recover her strength, build her forces. We’ll have a few years.” Lucius answered his silent question.
“So, what you’re getting at is?” Dahrin asked waiting for the other shoe.
“We think this will be how it is everywhere we go. So, for the time being we’ll continue our journey as we have been, like diplomats visiting our neighbors.” Gerad said.
“But, we’ll also be visiting all the temples while we’re there to check things out and make sure no old archrivals of our former selves have popped back up again to seek revenge once more.” Sheik interjected trying to sound spooky; Meria rolled her eyes at him.
Dahrin raised his eyebrows at his best friend and chuckled. Gerad shook his head at Sheik who just grinned back.
Gerad looked at all of his friend’s faces in turn. He came to Selene last and looking her straight in the eyes he said, “So our new mission is to basically save the world.”

Hey you just revealed the heroes' purpose, how awesome is that, though usually they know what to do earlier.

and first 1/2 of chapter 24 ^_^ its a short one but i needed to explain some things :) hope you likes!

Chapter 24

Calhan’s old ticker…..

“I’m honestly very surprised we convinced your mother to let you come with us at all.” Gerad said as he waved farewell to Ruto and Vespa. Lucius grunted in agreement as the made their way over the bridge. It had taken them a week to clear out most of the monsters and rubble.
At first Ruto had been vehemently against Lucius continuing the journey with them, but thanks to Calhan, they were able to talk her into it.
“How was Sasha?” Meria asked Lucius.
Lucius smiled, “She’s ok. She told me not to blame myself too much. Heh, guess she knew I would.”
“How long will it take us to get to Kokiri village?” Selene asked Aerica.
Aerica shrugged, “A few days. There is a shortcut through the Lost Woods, but what with the way things are going I think it best if we stick to the trade routes.”
“Yeah, probably.” Gerad said waving one last time as they rounded the bend out of site of Zora’s Domain.

The crow with the red eyes and silver collar watched them leave Zora’s Domain in silence, as they rounded the bend out of site it seemed to smirk as it took flight to follow them.

“I still have no idea how you make rations edible, Meria.” Lucius said taking another bite of the food. Meria laughed as she served up another helping for Sheik.
“Family secret; I’d have to kill you if I told you.” Meria said conspiratorially.
Selene leaned back against Dahrin’s shoulder and watched the sky, a storm was coming but Meria had told them it wasn’t going to hit till later tomorrow. Selene had no clue how she new except that maybe it was because Meria was the Wind Sage. Selene closed her eyes and just listened to the chatter of her friends.
“Selene, why are you glowing?” Gerad asked.
Selene opened her eyes and looked at her skin, indeed she was glowing again, “I don’t know, it’s something I do when I’m content I guess.”
“Oh.” Gerad said taking another bite of food.
“So, when we get to Kokiri Village, are we going straight to the temple or what?” Dahrin asked.
Gerad shrugged, “I don’t want to alarm innocents, but we should check it out as soon as possible.”
“I’ll check it out when we get there.” Aerica said as she fed Meko some meat.
“Someone should go with you; we don’t need another repeat of last time.” Lucius said pointing at Aerica.
Aerica chuckled, “True.”
“I’ll go with her; it shouldn’t look too suspicious, me being the Lore Sage and all.” Calhan suggested.
“I suppose.” Gerad said hesitantly.
“We still have a day or two before we get there so we can discuss this further on the way.” Aerica said putting her arm on Gerad’s.
“Yeah, it’s late already, we should get some sleep. I’ll take first watch.” Dahrin said putting his plate down and getting his swords. His axe had been beyond repair and the Zora blacksmiths had crafted him two one-handed swords. The others bid each other good night and turned in.

Gerad awoke to the sound of metal scraping on metal and sat up just in time to see a Stalfos disintegrate after being killed by Dahrin. Gerad jumped to his feet waiting for more to attack but none did.
Dahrin caught site of him and walked over, “There was only one. I don’t think we need to wake the others.”
“How did you kill him so quietly?” Gerad asked rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.
“Gerad, I’m the king of the sand assassins.” Dahrin said looking at him.
“Oh yeah.” Gerad said.
Gerad was awake now that the adrenaline had rushed through his system. He and Dahrin sat just outside of the circle of firelight. Slowly Gerad got his night vision and saw shapes and slowly could distinguish between the shadows.
“Dahrin, we’re surrounded aren’t we?” Gerad asked calmly.
“Yeah, but they don’t seem interested in us. They stay out of the firelight.” Dahrin said just as calmly.
“So, I heard you got the medallions to lend you power?” Dahrin asked him watching the shapes of the monsters as they slowly walked past their campsite. As Dahrin had said they stayed out of the firelight and didn’t seem to be interested in them.
“Yeah, but only once, I haven’t gotten it to do anything since then.” Gerad said pulling out the pendant. The medallions glowed slightly in the dark. They also pulsed like heartbeats at different paces.
“What is you’re opinion of me?” Dahrin asked hesitantly.
Gerad glanced at him, “That was random.”
Dahrin chuckled, “Yeah, but all the same, what do you think of my having feelings for your sister?”
“I know she loves you. Well put it this way, treat her right, never make her cry, and I think we’ll be ok.” Gerad said dropping the pendant and going back to watching the shadows.
“But, I’m Ganondorf’s son.” Dahrin whispered.
“And? You aren’t Ganondorf.” Gerad countered, “Look, you love my sister, my sister loves you. You’re a decent guy that can hold his own in a fight and you’re one of the kindest people I know. You can’t help who you’re father is. But you can help that you don’t become your father. Make sense?” Gerad asked him looking him in the eyes, or what he could see of them.
Gerad saw Dahrin smile as he said, “Yeah. Thanks, Gerad.”

It's fine to post your work; but people nowadays aren't quite as fond of reading as they used to be, so it's best to post writing in small chunks. I'd say the prologue alone should be split up in to two chunks.

Not...fond...of reading? What is happening to this place? :O
