highlights? no idea how to do that

Highlights are the oppisite of shading; they're light sections where the light hits them. On the top of the dragons' heads are ideal places for highlights.

I like the drawing, it is very nice,
I think you need to think about contrast a bit more,
Look at things around you,
there is no line separating say, the edge of a book, from the table or wall behind it
Keep up the good work though,
