I consider it neither anime nor realistic. XD I think of it as more of a western cartoon style. Like kind of a Disneyish-looking thing, or maybe like some of the traditionally-animated Dreamworks stuff.

If it's gotta be one or the other, it would be closer to anime, but my style isn't derived from anime and it's not a Japanese-originated production. XD

Another chibified god. XD Kind of a background character, but an important one.

I'm also working on Faustulus's character ref (at least the human part; I'm still pondering what to do, ref-wise, with his dragon form) but when that's done I'll make that the incentive.

Also! I know I mentioned it on dA, but I don't think I did here - the WiF layout has been updated to be less distracting and less pink. Thought I'd mention that while I'm at it. XD

He looks like he is a monkey. Is he a kirsaian? or something else? (is he the monkey king? ) But he does look cool.

Oh Hydraaaa, you should know by now that Kirsaians don't have tails. XD

Yeah, I actually based part of his design off a chimp. Booya. He's like a humanized chimp with a tail.
He's an Elf (lol our elves are different), which means he's a great ape of some sort, but technically he isn't in the human family with humans/vampires and Kirsaians.
He's a helluva lot more advanced, though, at least in terms of tool use. XD People without magic or divine abilities would need to learn to adapt how they could, though. When you can't light a fire with magic, what can you use? Y'know? Basically, elves are considered more sensible, cautious, and curious than the other intelligent species... even if they're really stripped down and have no real "powers".

The Elves actually used to be more catlike/doglike-inspired, though far more human in appearance: Here you can see one - the guy with dark skin and green glowing eyes, Dom, is an elf but that's an old design.

I'll explain the god stuff in more detail down the road. Like, draw a diagram or a minicomic or something.

Yes, I know, that was a stupid question... Ok, then! My brother-in-law would love him. He loves monkeys. lol

Baboon!! Sorry, his hand-feet and tail remind me of a baboon. I just hope he doesn't act like one though, cause they are Naaaasssty! Personally I like your rejected design a little more.

The rejected design is prettier, but I'm much happier with this one. I was afraid the cat-people thing would come across as really cliche, since it seems there are a lot of catlike humanoid creatures out there. You see very few apes, though, and I've always thought it would be wonderfully creepy to make an ape-inspired race. Besides, chimps are freakishly human anyway. All I had to do was make a few minor adustments and boom! I got me an elf.

Besides, I already have two odd human/animal mix species already. At least ape and human is a close enough mix that I could pass it as a generic ape.
Trust me, I've thought the whole thing out. XD But I'll try to make Dom as similar to his old design as possible. He'll probably just get different colored eyes and an uglier face. And hands for feet. XD
