Chapter 6 will be up ehhh... not this Sunday, but the next if I'm not mistaken. I think this Sunday will bring the last page of chapter 5. (When I said Lavernus and Nohtaz appeared in chapter 7, I meant chapter 6. My bad! But that's all the better.)

The god of death is Stratos, who is also the god of war, hunts, games, chance, competition, infertility, and centaurs. He is a counterpart to Cernuune, you see. While Cernuune is the goddess of life and is both male and female, Stratos is technically sexless but referred to as a "he".

The way centaurs see death is not necessarily as something to be feared or mourned, but rather they celebrate the deceased's passing into the afterlife and accept their place in the life-and-death cycle of the world. It's kind of interesting.

Interesting tidbit, if you recall, in chapter 3 when Silvermane was asking Torin what god he prayed to, he himself said that he prayed to Stratos for luck on hunts.

I'm glad you like the comic. :U I've been working hard to really up the quality, especially in the last few pages of chapter 5 and into chapter 6. I think I went back through my archives and nearly died of embarrassment at my first few chapters, lol. And it's hard to believe I couldn't keep with my deadlines! D-: Such cheap-looking quality!

Last page of chapter 5 (I think?) will be up tomorrow morning, first thing! I hope it looks nice. And I'm also trying to work better on the story and explaining things, which will happen loads more in chapter 6. Hopefully a lot of things will be explained.

Check out what I did~!

Image

This is a book that we (my sister and I) got printed and self-published. She did all the writing and I did all the illustrations for it. It's about cryptids, which are creatures that scientists say don't exist (but we know better, of course!). Things like Bigfoot and Loch Ness Monster and Kraken. We found a whole alphabet of 'em and included basic information about each one. 60 pages, stapled/saddle-stitched! Turned out awesome, if you ask me!

Since I did all the pictures and I think the books came out so pretty, I thought I'd share.
More info about it can be found here!

Basically all you have to do is get an ISBN (there's a website for that), a barcode (there's a website for that!) and a Library of Congress Control Number (and there's a website for that, too!). And then, of course, you need to have the book's contents all set to go and find a professional place to print it. It all costs money, but it's not impossible. It took a little while, but I hear if you try to submit your stuff to publishers instead, it can take years. Self-publishing is a faster alternative, and really the only difference is that the whole thing is your responsibility to promote and reprint and so on.

For the websites I mentioned, just google the stuff and it will come up. I'm sure I could find the sites for you, though, if you wanted me to. XD

Also, warning: Like I said before, it... costs money. :-O But of course, everything does! But thought I'd throw that out there. ISBN numbers cost, the barcode cost us some, uh... I dunno about the LCCN, but the printing cost us. It's really nice, though. <3 People who say it's impossible to self-publish just aren't trying. It's not so bad.

Ugh, sorry for being so inactive here recently. Things are getting to be really busy... we're trying to get another book printed, some medical stuff with family has come up (nothing serious, but enough to get in the way a little bit!), and RadCon draws ever closer, which means I have two weeks to be all ready for that. D8 Sliiiightly stressed right now. Mostly about RadCon and being ready for it, because I'm going to be both a presentor and a dealer. XD Auuuugh.

But! Here is the new vote incentive. Sorry it's been taking so long, but, like I said... busy. And I dun like being busy. You might notice that I updated the vote banner, too. XD
It's a remake of an older pic - the same one that the old vote banner came from. Here is the old; compare if you dare. DX

On top of the vote incentives! I also have to now keep up on donation incentives. I'd show you those, but then there would be no reason to donate. XD
