I agree with AshDragon! It certainly seems you had a light source in mind when you were shading, so the highlights and shadows look consistently placed and it's easy to tell the light is coming from the right side of the image. Yay!
If you're interested, here are a couple of tutorials that can help you with the proportions of the head and body:
Express Guide: Figure drawingBig Guide to Drawing the Body(That second one is a more advanced and detailed version of the first one.)
One important thing to keep in mind which is a fairly common mistake when starting out with human drawing, is that the eyes should actually be placed in the vertical middle of the head. That is, there's about as much head space above the eyes as there is below the eyes. It helps if, after you've drawn your character's head shape and before you've added any facial features, you lightly sketch a line both in down and across the vertical and horizontal middle of the face. Like having a big '+' shape through it which you can use to help you measure where features would be placed and also keep them symmetrical. The eyes would be placed on the horizontal middle line and would be an equal distance from the vertical middle line! Yes!
But those tutorials go over all kinds of measurements to help position facial features accurately.

I hope the info helps and wish you luck with your next drawing!
