One of my many projects that I actually felt like finishing. It's really basic, but I like it

Here is my new project that I'm working on. Help with placing the second wing on the side that is closest to us would be nice, and redlines in general would be useful

I think the wing is fine. But the head looks a bit too small, to me. Oh, and the wing on the far side looks weird in that position. It looks... thin? or maybe gimpy. And I think the feathers on that wing should be facing up not down. I hope you get something out of this.

I don't know if it can help but there is some pictures of flying birds in different positions close to the position of your dragon.

@Hydra: Thanks for telling me about the small head, I fixed that up And I'm not too sure what you mean by the wing looking skimpy, but I think I fixed it. There were two wings on the far side - I've taken one away now, so he only has one wing on each side. It looks better now, but I'm still not too sure if I'm going to completely scratch the double wing idea or not.

@Akerah: Thanks for those pictures, they really helped! I didn't even think of looking for refs. I've noted numerous problems with the feather design that I'm going to fix up later.

Anyway, I'm doing a Secret Santa on DevArt. I won't tell you who it's for, on the off change that he/she is actually on NDA. So, here it is. It's supposed to be a fox gryphon type of thing, so help with everything (especially the head/body ratio and anatomy) is greatly appreciated :D

OK, please ignore the previous picture. It's so horrible that I'm completely redoing everything, the pose, the face, the angle, everythingg.

OK, well. I've managed to dig myself into a hole here. I have my final geo project (which is big), and three secret santas to do, along with homework, some Christmas presents, and a couple of requests I'm really late on (not to mention my own life). The fox, I think I have under control. It's so very rough, though, that I'm not going to post it. I have another one, which I'm also OK with at the moment. But then I went in with GoredGuar's SS, and it turns out that I got her! I really want to do a good job on this. Unfortunately, it's due next Monday, so I'm going to have to go with the face I have. But what about the pose? I mean, I have about three options right now...so I'm going to post them here. Vote on which one you like the most, please!

Oh, and please ignore the horrible anatomy. They were uber-quick sketches, so I know the head might be horrendously big, or something of the sort. Please, vote/critique on the general idea (ie. something like on a rock/branch) rather than very specific (ie. the body is too long, I don't like how the body is structured, etc.)

Anyway, finished GoredGuar's Secret Santa. I'm not really happy with the Cal'ath himself - especially his mouth. Looks like he has overbite or something. The rock also sucks (and his hands, and everything in general )Anyway, here it is.
