A'ight, so, I've been pretty epicfail at doing art recently, so here's a couple little doodle-ma-jiggers. Gonna keep studying anatomy, and hopefully get started on a full piece soon.



I really like how the hand turned out, but I think the dragon head takes the cake for me. Not because it's that amazingly good, but because I've never been able to properly draw them in 3d before. For this one, I just tried working out all the angles and getting it all right without using any shapes at all, and it worked quite nicely!

Very cool sketches, but I think you dragon can pierce it's own neck if it bends it backward because of it's horns which are very cool but dysfunctional.

Great work so far- you've really improved in a lot of areas. You are indeed the poster child for perserverance if there ever was one.

I don't mean to offend: how long has it been since you copied a pose realistically? That way the anatomy will be imprinted in your miiiiiiind.

And I haven't practiced poses from reference much; I'm studying muscle structure at the moment, but after that I'm going to try to get in to posing more.


And, since I haven't updated in forever, here's a quick 1-2 hour speedpaint I did of a villain from me and Pargile's DnD campaign.



It's quick and the colors are terrriiibbble, but I was experimenting with a different technique. I'd say I've got it kind of down; I understand the concepts, but it's a very messy technique and my perfectionist self doesn't like it. Gotta loosen up!

So, Pargile is always making fun of me because I'm in love with merpeople, orbs, spells, and runes. I draw merpeople all the time, nearly all my characters are spellcasters, and like every other room in our last DnD game had some kind of orb / rune / glyph. xD

So he figured the only thing that could be worse would be to put them all together... so... I did! 8D

i think his tail would look better slightly longer =)

The first one is freakin amazing if not for the weird looking flabby arm. And the second picture is pretty cool although it is anatomically wrong it is cartoony and fun. Don't kill me for asking this but what is DnD. Dungeons and Dragons?? Also U and Prgila as a team equals awesomeness.
