This is mostly finished, but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for improvement.

the style and pattern would look good as a tatoo. Im not big on cat anatomy so i cant see any problems here. Nice colouring and shading too. :amused: :amused:

Hmm... I always feel that you art has a sort of *unfinished look*, as in, it's really good, put the shading and highlighting could be intensified to bring it up to uber level :D also, I'm not loving the background :-P

I agree with biddlybooba - it's kinda flat. You have three shades, and they're all of the same value, or so it seems, and it really makes the picture dull. If you for example made the highlights yellow and the shadows blue, and added some really nice contrast, you wouold have a picture that popped at once. If you also gave it some fur texture, I think you could get away from that flat, dull look.

And the background doesn't go too well with the jaguar either.

Thanks guys! Yeah, this was originally a design for a tattoo, so the backgound was unimportant...however, I'm usually against leaving the bg plain black, especially since the character in this is mainly black...any other color seemed to wash him out though. The idea was sort of like a chinese icon type thing...but I'm totally stuck on what else to do with the background that won't take attention away from the jag.
