Hey! Any critiques? I was thinking up some designs for this dragon-ish creature. I think that the thigh is too big, but I haven't done a big cross-examination yet. Big chest to allow for wing muscles, but I didn't draw a wing yet. Redlines would be appreciated. Just whipped this up recently, it's very rough. Tail was cut off in scanner. Sorry for the poor quality.

Tear it apart! Kindly!

Nice design, the pose is a little unbalanced however, as the right back leg is too far forward :) I've redlined it for ya.
Also, the tail would not curve like that, unless it is a dog-dragon hybrid, as dragon anatomy has a very solid base to the tail :)

The design is very nice though, and great job on the eye, plenty of expression :J

Agreed with biddly on the pose balance and tail, but not with his redlines. Hips and shoulders do not connect with the body on the underside, both start at spine level (the hips are connected to the spine even), and the legs should not be bent so much, it gives the dragon a clumsy look. A powerful, proud stance will be emphasized by strong, straight (imaginary) lines in the pose, such as can be found in the legs or the proudly held up, straight tail.

The arrows indicate areas that need some attention.

Wow. Thank you! I really appreciate the critique and the redlines. I found them extremely helpful. =) I've been doing some sketches that are adjusted like those, but I don't think they'll be posted.

Thank you. :amused:

Well this is pretty good as far as I can see, I do agree with Lhune and Biddlyboobaa.

Good job, I love the expression and the spinal fin/thingy! I would correct some of the anatomy if biddlybooba and Lhune hadn't already, and if I had a touch tablet. Good job, anyways :)
