NDA Art Critique Message Boards

So, I took the advice in this thread and I'm stopping the Anime/Manga. But I'm having problems doing this. I didn't realize how much I used it in EVERYTHING I do. My drive for drawing has stalled because I get so frustrated with myself when I can't get it right(I'm a sequential perfectionist). Any ideas on how I can get back to attempting realism(not that I was good at it to begin with)?

Don't fret, don't worry! I think every artist goes through a "oh god what am I getting myself into?" stage.

Two things you should do. Don't be intimidated by other artists, and take it step by step, small steps first.

I can't think of any new artist anatomy books, but you can find many resources and tutorials that can explain it in a simple language and such. In fact, many of the tutorials I'm thinking of are in the big ol' tutorial thread on this forum. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=15
