how about a background tutorial?

WHats the different with western and eastern dragons? :O

eastern dragons usually dont have wings at all, but some do. and they're usually hairier than western. they have beards and mustaches and manes like a lion. more serpent-like than westerns as well. western dragns are more lizard-like or dinosaur-like than snake-like.

The artist's rights tutorial would be a good peice of information to know, especially for people like me, who are new to posting up artwork. I've heard of quite a few cases of art theft, especially on the internet, and avoiding that is definately a good idea, I would think. :P I like my charries too much for them to be stolen.... :-[

I also voted for hair, just because it seems to be the hardest thing to draw for me personally.

The Marketing Website one, for I am terrible at stuff like that.
And commissions...I'm too cheap...people don't take me seriously...how do I make them pay me more than a quarter for eight hours worth of work?!?

Oh and the Western/Eastern dragons, any dragon tutorial, because neondragonart.com is not the same without the 'dragon' part. :) I miss those tutorials.

A background tutorial... would be difficult. Here's why: Though I could show you how I create one, or even several backgrounds, backgrounds are not actually an object so much as a setting, and within that setting could be thousands of different objects, climates, time of day, people, and events. It would be impossible to create one tutorial that says "Hey guys, this is TOTALLY how you do backgrounds, kk?" In essence all I would be doing would be creating a glorified copy-paste, and if you want to copy-paste, you'd be better off using reference that you shot yourself to work form.

Now, I could show you some techniques for creating backgrounds, like "This brush works well for creating faded objects really far in the distance" or "keep in mind atmospheric perspective" or "If you're drawing man-made buildings and objects, you may want to consider measuring them out using vanishing points". ect. But a tutorial that tells you "how to make backgrounds" in general would be an impossibility without thousands of tutorials making it up, and even then, I would have barely covered the tip of the iceburg!

I do not use Corel, so I would be unqualified to make a tutorial for such a thing. Many of the PHotoshop tutorials I create can be adapted to other digital art programs though :-)

The artist's rights, and inking your sketch on PS. I really, really have trouble with that, so a tutorial on that would be a godsend :embarrassed: Even if you're not doing it, could somebody point me to another good one, please?
