I like a good comedy but they're getting harder to come by these days, don't mind abit of romance but Sci-fi and Fantasy are probably my favourites.

Some of my favourite movies include the Underworld trilogy (one of my all time faves, Kate Beckingsale is awesome), Star Wars, Final Fantasy Advent Children and Stardust along with many more.

Gotta love Disney of course, Mulan is one of my favourites but I think they spoil it slightly with some of the sequels they've brought out to some of their films.

Oh Studio Ghibli films how could I forget those? The animation is usually beautiful and I like how Miyazaki almost always addressed real issues

I like action, comedy, and sci-fi stuff, so Lord of the Rings and Star Wars (except for episodes 1 and 2) are some of my favs. Pitch Black and WALL-E are also awesome and practically anything by Mel Brooks will keep me entertained. :yahoo:

I think the poll is missing a few options and others are not very accurately described xD.

I like fantasy/adventure (which almost always has a bit of war in it), war, and animation (cartoon, I guess). Humour is always a good thing, but in the past few years I feel like the true "Comedies" (films that were made to be funny) have got really bad. There are a few good ones, mostly with well known comedy actors, but most of their "jokes' are old, overdone, and just not funny anymore.

Which is why I love Pixar, Dreamworks and their animations. It's like Tom and Jerry. No matter how often you saw Tom smashing himself into a wall, it always made me giggle again. They do use the same -kinds- of jokes, often the main character(s) being silly and clumsy, but it's the way in which it's animated and the beautiful story around it that makes it funny and interesting. The occasional bit of humour, the occasional bit of seriousness. Either one of them on a constant basis is boring and monotonous.

In other words, I like variation in movies. No horror or otherwise scary stuff though. I enjoy a bit of tension (which most war movies have plenty of), but I start disliking it as soon as things have to start getting gorey and disgusting. People being ripped or blown apart for no apparent reason, chainsaws, burning, just for the graphics, that sort of stuff. Often times rather unnecessary to me.

Same here, I like all kinds of movies. It just depends on what I feel like that day. :wiii:

Anyone here ever seen 9, not district 9, just 9 with Elijah Wood and Tim Burton?

I saw 9, it was different but i'm still not really sure how I feel about it. I love sci-fi and fantasy and more specifically Serenity, Cursed and Jurrassic Park and then movies that are based on books I've read, usually (CURSE YOU ERAGON!!!).

And then theres the Digimon movie, go ahead judge me.
