well some people do some people dont listen to music when they draw, that would be their decision though.

Always. For me, music and art just go together.
Funnily enough, though, I can't listen to music when I'm trying to write. Somehow the music cancels out any attempts I make at painting with words.

I'm happiest drawing to fairly fast-paced songs, especially epic instrumentals. Stuff by Immediate Music and X-Ray dog is short, but there's so much epic packed into each piece that they count.
I listen to a few songs by Nightwish, some stuff by Globus (an offshoot of Immediate Music), some stuff by Celtic Woman (Dulaman = favorite!) and a few soundtrack songs.
Nubuo Uematsu's One-Winged Angel is good, as is his Liberi Fatali.
I like Our Solemn Hour (Which I call Sanctus Espiritusp...It should be pretty obvious I like Latin lyrics by now) and Hand of Sorrow, both by a band called Within Temptation.

Not only do I listen to music while drawing, I listen while writing, reading, exercising, eating, working, playing, sleeping, breathing....
However, I do tend to listen to electro/drum and bass music, mixed in with classical/epic/other instrumental music in particular while drawing or writing. Words tend to confuse me when I'm trying to focus.

I usually do when I have the chance...but thats rare, considering I have to have it really loud (and my 1 year old wouldn't really care for that much xD)...the music needs to be moody too for some reason. My creative juices don't work with any other kind of music. :/

My friend convinced me to listen to any type of music (even though thats what I've been doing), after all it just music, it don't mater if I listen to songs from the 80's or stuff like that. To be truthful i really dont have a favorite band or artist, no instead i listen to anybody that has good songs. I pretty much listen to all kinds of music, except hana montana, (not being rude or anything but her voice is off, i mean she has a couple good songs but i would not want to listen to her voice), my sister watches her shows while i play my ps2 or i walk some of my neighbors dogs (then thats when i get my portable CD player and listen to the radio).

In my opinion, her shows are for little kids. I'm glad i don't watch them. i do, how ever, try to get away from the tv when her shows are on, but thats only when my sister is in control of it.

ive always wanted to see the show because everyone was talking about it and im in high school and i saw a show and i thought it was crap!!! hahahahaha

Y'all make me feel small :( lol I'm 21 and enjoy watching it..mostly for the dumb factor xD My husband likes it too. Everyone says we're wierd though...
