hurhur, thanks gaiz. xD

Here's a quick little portrait of my character Tobias I did for an avatar on dA, and decided to use it on here as well.

Image

It's obviously terrible; the blending's so rough it could probably shred your skin, but it works out alright at avatar size.

Though I might not use it for too long; it's kinda dark and broody, which is like the exact opposite of my personality. XD

NO COMMENTS? FOR SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME.

Maybe you don't like portraits. Have a subterranean city, then! :D

Just a quick speedpaint of a city in my campaign, Zha'Dinn, it took 47 minutes and 40 seconds.

Hey dude, I see you're digging the contrast in your latest works, but can you tone it down a bit? It's eye-searing and doesn't direct the eyes around very well.

Well..that seems just a tad rude, don't you think? I personally think it adds character to the pieces. A lot of land/cityscapes I see are rather boring to look at, in a sense, eekping my eyes from getting directed around it at all. These make me want to keep searching to see what sort of little hidden details I may have missed. And if it really is too bright, you may want to check your moniter brightness, because it comes across my screen just fine

Well, though I would've probably phrased it definitely, she is right. I have issues with contrast, especially in speedpaintings. It's mainly due to the way I add color; I start in black and white then use gradient maps and color balance and overlay layers to add in color. While the basic principle is good, the technique I use tends to intensify the contrast, so I need to either find an alternative solution (which I think I have), or do the original black and white in lower contrast.

Aaaand here's another doodlething.

I was drawing a dragon, but the torso way too human, so I made it more human. Cause I'm deep like that.

Could be used as a vampire / gargoyle concept for my campaigns I s'pose. :3

And I'll probably try another dragon later tonight, and hopefully fail less. xD
