This is a sketch I'm working on of a dark fairy.

Ok, here she is all painted. What do you think?

I love the wing!!
I think her nose is a bit too wide/big, but that can be just me. I also wouldn't have used red along with purple, but that may be a matter of taste just like the nose.
The overal pic looks good though(is she crying blood?)

Thanks! Yeah, dark fairies, just like dark elves, and other "dark" elemental creatures tend to have different features than that of their lighter partners. In this case, most fairies and pixies have very pointed features, so I chose to make her a little wider in the nose and chin areas. The red was to counteract all the darker colors...yellow and orange looked terrible, and while blue would have been in the same color spectrum as purple, it didn't give her the menacing look I wanted. Good eye, BTW, she is crying blood!
