Gh! I've been away from NDA for months, so forgive me for popping in out of the blue and shoving my pictures down everyone's throats. I'll put this on my mental list of regular sites and try to check it every morning, at least! Maybe I can keep up on things that way and actually be of use to these forums. And this will be my designated art thread so I don't end up making new ones for each new picture!

ANYWAY. Lotsa art, some random but most WiF-related.

Miscellaneous includes:

Weird Winged Critters is a coupla weird winged critters. I think I whipped these up to try and get a friend to draw one for me (she can't draw my humanoids, therefore...!). That never happened, but I think they're kinda nice.

Good Ideas is a picture of myself/Atomi, my alter ego - kind of a mix between the two. So-named because Atomic Soldier is the Impy (I'll explain Impies later) of more ideas than one knows what to do with. Somethin' like that. I'm considering changing her wings to the color of her hair, instead of black.

R'Miira is an anthro cat-thing, actually based off my TESIII: Morrowind character - a Khajiit, needless to say. While originally naked, I gave her underwear for the dA version just so I didn't have to MC it!

Whitetail Deer is a whitetail deer. And a somewhat bad attempt at traditional art! Hurrr, crayola for the win? XD The scanner turned it pink.

The Old Hunter! Bulky old-man wolf with spear! Finally finished that fur! Woo-woo!

Now for the World in Flames stuff! There's a lot of it, so I'll kinda categorize it.

The crappy, sketchy, or somehow bad stuff:

Hard Proposition is a sketchy picture of an exchange between dragon!Faustulus and dragon!Hermaea. Maybe they turn into dragons and talk to each other so the humanoids can't understand what they say. Of course, they could stay in human form and speak in their native language for the same effect...

Fierce Loyalty, with 30% more Faustdragon. This was mostly for use as a comparison between 5'7'' Torin and ~14-foot dragon Faustulus. Kind of a quickie.

Peaceful Conversation. Aw hell, more Faustulus-dragon?! More tiny Torin? I didn't know I liked drawing them together this much.

Heated Battle is a heated battle between two rivaling satyr bucks - a whitetail deer satyr and a mule deer satyr. Could be Torin and Emil, who I'll introduce in a second.

Dump 1, as I have designated this mass, is a pile of rough or somewhat colored sketches that will likely not be completed. Still fun to look at.

-----

Now for the good stuff!

What Can I Say? I don't know. No words really describe this, because the shading and the rocks suck so hard due to lack of planning. OH WELL. It's a pretty good representation of Faustulus and Torin, except this was when I still did antlers wrong. Pretty at first glance, though, right?

Xua was drawn so I could re-design a previous WiF character, "Xue", who was pretty much the same but needed a new picture drawn. Heeeere she is! Cute 'lil "I-don't-really-give-a-crap" Xua! :-)

Will Not Forget You is a pic of Torin's dead brother, Raenlin, and I used this picture as an opportunity to play with antlers. Bwahaha! Cranium isn't big enough, but oh well.

Tension. Remember Heated Battle? These are likely the two subjects of that picture - Torin the whitetail and Emil the mule deer. If you've looked at the other pictures, you've probably gathered that Torin's the smaller one with copper eyes, and that the other one must be Emil. Hate to admit this, but the relationship between these two is based off the relationship between Bambi and Ronno from Disney's "Bambi". They fight over the laaadies!

The Young Messenger is just a quick thing I whipped up of a minor character in WiF. He's a centaur, based off a black horse, and I drew this mainly to get his colors and stocking markings down. He's kind of a jerk who doesn't like bigger centaurs... which, to him, would be most centaurs.

And, finally, Happy Valentine's Day, 2010! This was drawn for Valentine's Day and depicts a very, very cheerful Faustulus hugging a very, very annoyed Xua. Loooovvvveeee all around!

Flyin' High is a re-do of a really old pic that's linked to in the artist comments there, so you can see the comparison. XD

Doesn't Mind The Solitude is an actual shot of human Faustulus... finally, without another character in the picture! I don't think it's bad and I'm not going to make any changes to it, but I do notice a few things I don't like about it.

Sil and Wild / "Together", since the picture has a different name on dA. My first picture that included Sil's... significant other (?), and her design was experimental.

Character ref - Torin is sadly the best Torin I've ever drawn. If I could draw him that well all the time it would be Christmas every day. And hey! It's a ref sheet!

Pursuit is a picture of Xua running from something, carrying an object that we can assume is important. What she has and who she runs from is up to your imagination, since there's no real story behind it.

Character ref - Silvermane is exactly what it sounds like. I'm not as happy with it as I was with Torin's ref, since a centaur is larger and I couldn't use the space as efficiently. Still, though, it gets the idea across.

Freedom depicts a very cheerful Silvermane standing over a ravine. We're all just hoping he doesn't stumble over the cliff.

-----

Now for the chibis, which I'm in the process of redoing - I'll update this list as more are added:

Chibi Torin should go first, as the "hero" of the story. This captures his cockiness well.

Chibi Faustulus comes next, since he's a supporting character. And he's blind, so heck, I oughta do him some favors.

Chibi Nore is the oh-so-important heroine, so here she is! She's based off a goat mix... mostly Irish goat, but something else, too, probably.

Chibi Raenlin, a semi-important character despite being dead. This is him just before death, so he looks (as expected) injured and on the brink of death.

Chibi Silvermane looks stern and serious as usual. Poor guy just never gets a break, does he?

Chibi Aisling, also known simply as the weird antlered-and-therefore-possibly-hermaphroditic girl by the river in Torin's dreams. She does indeed have a name.

---

Some of this is old, so if you give critique I might already know what the issue is. XD Either way, feel free to give comments/critique, ask questions, or anything! Any feedback is cool. Even if you're just grabbing me by the shoulders and shaking me and yelling "Wheeeeerrrre have you beeeeennnn?!"

I actually like most of the work here. How long have you been drawing because your grasp on anatomy is pretty good? The winged wolf thingies are pretty cool.

Yeah, I liked the winged wolf things. They were fun to draw, but the markings were a pain to color!

Welll... I've been drawing since I can remember, and I've been drawing seriously... ever since I've been on dA, which was over three years ago. *shrugs*
Can't really give a straight answer to that question, but thank you! I try to work on anatomy.

Wow, I really like all of these! However, I think the deer could be a bit more angular, with perhaps a tad longer face. Not sure about your scanner turning things pink. Try cleaning it maybe?
Again, good job! ^^

I've heard that it's typical for scanners to mess stuff up. XD I talked to some people at a con a few weeks ago and the suggestions were pretty much all, "photoshop it until it looks about right". XD

I know what you mean about the deer. It wasn't bad for a first attempt, but I could work on animals a little bit. I used a reference when I did the bare-bones sketch, but after that I tossed aside the book I was using and said, "Now it's MY turn!"

Sometimes that works. Sometimes not. XD

Thank you for the comments! It's something for me to keep in mind!

You're welcome!
Ah, yes, scanners...Mine always "bleaches" my drawings. They turn out lighter than they should. XD
Practice, practice, practice, is all I can say for the deer. Don't be afraid to use photo refrences. I do it quite a bit. No one will frown upon you if you do. They're more likely to praise you! :)

Thanks, stardust! I should draw moar deer. I don't draw enough animals except for weird-lookin' dragons.

And speaking of weird-lookin' dragons, I has one!

It's a greeeen one! Flyin' High is a re-do of a really old pic that's linked to in the artist comments there, so you can see the comparison. XD
Feel free to critique this, but if it's about the feet then I've known about those issues ever since I was about halfway through the pic! I have a ref pic with better-looking feet that actually look like feet, but for some reason I decided I didn't need the ref in front of me! Ahahaha shoooot.

You have to draw a lot to keep a weekly comic updating. ;D
Thank you!

I like your new picture! Not much that I can critique, except maybe you should add more muscle definition (tis a mighty dragon!). I compared it to your older picture and it is definitely better! Though I did like the fur running down the entire back of the older pic. ^^

You have a weekly comic? I can't believe I missed that! ><
