NDA Art Critique Message Boards

Okay this is a WIP lineart for my next piece...if anything sticks out to you, let me know. I'm aware that the girls position basically makes it impossible for her to move in time before the lion lands, dead or alive, but that is intentional. The piece is meant to be one of those cliffhangers.

Anyway, any obvious anatomical problems or perspective details are really what I'm looking for.

Okay, so no suggestions? Alright, here's an update! Yes, they are supposed to be glowing.

Amazing!! It looks great so far, and that the lion is white instead of the usual golden makes it even more original than it already is. I think something about Ariahs upper body looks off but I'm not sure what, on the other hand the lion is looking very good^^ You really succeded in the pose and the background adds to that effect. I can't wait to see it finished!

The lion looks amazing! Ariah is just as good but i know what Elflady is talking about, her upper body does look a bit off. Other than that its great work.

It seems as though the lion's front half is quite a bit larger than his backside. (And if that's the case, I'm sorry for pointing it out after it's already been colored. ^^;)

Elflady - I think you're right...I usually bomb at the human figure, so there probably is something out of place!

Injewstine - Don't apologize homie, that's what we're here for right? Part of why he looks larger in front is perspective, but also, lions in the wild generally grow a mane that makes them look 2-3 times larger than they really are. This is actually something that helps them choose who is the Pride leader...anyway, here's a reference photo.
