I like it. The background is nice and simple. I love what you've done to his horse hair, giving it white dapples and fading parts into gray. I don't really like the chest hair on him though. It doesn't really seem like Sil.

I hope he doesn't fall off the cliff! He's looking a bit too "joyful and carefree" to watch where he's going! XD

Thank you! As for the dapples and fading, I think that's kinda common (enough) in silver dapple horses. At least judging from pictures I've seen. I try to give him those kinds of markings when I draw him, but due to the nature of them they're subject to change in every picture/page. XD Well, mostly the dapples. I'm glad someone noticed them. XD

Yeah, I guess it seems weird giving him chest hair. I mean, I might as well have gone all the way and given him nipples while I'm at it, but I honestly forgot. The chest hair was so fun, though! And I'm honestly kind of sick of seeing adult male characters with no hair whatsoever. Real men have hair, darnit! XD I dunno if I'd do it on comic pages, though, since I'm not sure I can phase it in smoothly without someone yelling, "WOAH SIL GREW BODY HAIR SUDDENLY."

Well yes, real men do have hair. I just found it strange to look at because I'm used to him being clean shaven. Maybe that's how you could phase it in! Say he forgot to shave! XD

Sil shaves his chest? Why would he, when he doesn't shave his underarms and often neglects to shave his face (as seen in chapter 3)? Of course, he does shave/crop his mane really short to nonexistant until we see it growing back into chapter 4-ish.

Maybe I'll leave it out for the time being and toy around with it later.

Okay, I know I always say this, but you can vote again because I put up a pencil sketch that turned out nicely-ish. Critique welcomed/desired/begged for, so feel free to say something.

Also, I'm working on another chibi! Huzzah! It isn't quite done yet, though.

It looks really nice! Hmm...critique.... Well I'm not too sure he could have his hoofed foot resting on the smooth trunk like that. It looks like their should be a knob underneath to support the foot. Also, maybe a bit more detail where the roots meet the grass. That's all I have for now.

Yea, I don't know about Sil's chest hair. I guess I'll leave it up to you. :D

So basically what you're saying is that it seems too much like his smooth little hoof is going to slide right off the smooth-looking tree if there's nothing much there to hold it?

...You have a point... :-' To be honest, I didn't even think of that.

And I guess there could be more detail down there... I'll work on that next time I do something like this, but at this point I won't push my luck editing this picture because it's one of my few semi-decent pencil drawings and I'm afraid I'll smudge it. (Sweaty hands! What a nightmare! D:)

Also, I'm trying to get back into my groove with the chibi series. I've been trying to do soon-appearing characters first, which is why I have Torin, Sil, Raenlin, Aisling, Faustulus and Nore. I also have another almost done which will be the next vote incentive, and it's Cernuune who I have NO art of yet and only one mention of in the comic so far. It isn't even a good mention.

(Anyone paying attention gets internet cookies if you can find where that mention is.)

You can't hide small print from me! I shall find the reference and get the cookies!! >:)

I agree with sweaty hands--UGH! It's as bad as sketch book pages smudging each other.

I don't really use a sketch book, and so often smudging doesn't bother me since I just scan it all in and digital line/color anyway! XD But I've noticed with my planner stuff smudges LOADS and it's irritating. And I find it very inconvenient when it happens to sketches I want to remain good-quality.

And you go find that reference! I dare you! You will have to search long and hard!
...or maybe not. It depends on how fast you can read. XD

I've technically updated the incentive (click and vote to see) HOWEVER the new image won't show up until tomorrow. Normally I would just upload it tomorrow, but it will be busy and I won't be on much the rest of the week. However, this way I can ensure the incentive will show up very first thing tomorrow.

It's a chibi of a not-yet-seen character! Uhm... yeah, Cernuune. XD I guess I gave that away earlier... But don't we all just want to see what she looks like?! That's what the voting's for! 8D

Again, the incentive won't update until June first (tomorrow, relative to the time I'm posting this) but once it's June first the new incentive should show up.

EDIT: okay, that was ridiculous. NOW the image should show up when you vote, if anyone voted and the image didn't load at all. There was a typo in it. D: This is what happens when I don't double-check myself! Sorry!
