Hello!

I actually joined months ago, but real life got in the way and I kind of forgot about it. But now I'm actually here again.

I use Paint Shop Pro for my digital art. I've been drawing with just pencil and paper for almost my whole life (...not that I was really any good even a few years ago XD) and I got into digital art about two years ago. And now I finally have a tablet, so it's much easier.

Hi everyone! I'm new to everything, pretty much. I've been attempting to draw since I could hold a pencil, but didn't know how. I'm a bit odd. I'm homeschooled. Yes, I'm one of those homeschoolers :geeky: (just kidding, but I am homeschooled) I'm 17 and I act twelve. :-P I'm a bit random and all of my art is a bit odd. I'm the oldest of 9 children(no joke 7 girls, 2 boys), I'm a writer...sorta. I'll hopefully have a book(fantasy :amused:) published by next year. :)

And that was prolly more than anyone cares to know about me, but hey, at least I tried. :)

Hey shadowspinner! Looks like we have a lot in common. I'm also one of those homeschooler, except I'm 23 and finished with college at this point. Everyone's a bit odd, so I think we can all relate to that! My brother in law is the middle child out of 8...so he knows your pain. It would be awesome to be published at 18! Hope it works out for you!

Heh, I've never posted here before so I willl now. I agree Shadow, this is going to sound self-centered.
I am twelve, my real name shan't be posted, and I was born July 3, 1997(yay! I like the 20th century!)
I have a burning passion for drawing, genetics I guess, as some may know I have been drawing for nine years now. I LOVE animals, and right now, my favorite movie(and charctar) is How To Train Your Dragon.
My favorite animal is unknown.
I am the yongest in a family of 5(hee, hee, hee), which can be really annoying, but I shouldn't be complaining.
That's all I can say now, I think of myself as very private being.

Sorry Ginger, but you haven't been drawing since you were three. There are some things you simply cannot do at that age, and drawing is
one of them, as you simply don't have the muscle control :) I don't mean to be rude, it's just quite a ridiculous statement :J

not true Biddly. I have a 2 year old daughter who LOVES to draw. What she draws doesn't make a whole lot of sense quite yet, but she definately draws.

I remember my mom telling me once how I used to draw pictures all over the walls at around 3 years. I never got to see those little monstrosities though because my parents renovated the house soon after.

Oh yes, and certainly a child's imagination is vast, but what I meant was that younger children cannot apply reasonable technique and skill to make a it a drawing as would be accepted by a fine art community (not counting the abstract guys :D)

I've been drawing since I could hold a pencil, but I didn't start "counting" until I was like eleven. The drawing you do as a child isn't conscious as much, you don't truly look at how you draw things at that age, you simply draw from the little bit of memory you have. I think you start drawing consciously when you hit your teens, perhaps a little sooner with some.

I think the moment you realise that drawing is something special to you, when you actually realise it yourself, that's when you can start counting.

Hello everyone ^^
I'm 17 turning 18 August 23
I'm a writer as well as a artist.
I love meeting new people and chatting with them, I'm very easy to get a long with so if anyways wants to drop feel free to message me! ^^
I discovered this website a very long time ago, it inspired me to even start drawing.
I'm a Pencil/Digital quick draw artist however, I use Photoshop depending on what I'm drawing. I try to avoid using color on it because I really don't understand how people get the colors so pin-pointed and perfect.
I'm just starting my AP art classes and I hope excel at them.
I love to draw Dragons,Wolves, and other fantasy creatures as well as photography.

See ya around everyone!

Nice to meet you! Now I'm the oldest of 10. A new sister. Two months old now. :)

I just read my post and actually laughed out loud. I would have loved to publish by now but the person that I was writing with(my best friend at the time) and I went our own ways and left the story alone. For most of this year I haven't felt like writing so I joined NaNoWriMo in order to make me. We'll see if I can publish something after all. :P
