Raenlin. (It's a made-up name, but I can't change it now since he's already shown up in the comic. DX) Pronounced something like RAN-leen.

And yes, he is deader than dead. He appears so much because, although he isn't directly involved in the plot, he does stand and watch it and he's the reader's key into seeing what Torin doesn't see. He watches a lot of the events unfold behind the scenes.

And he's also the key to understanding why Torin acts how he does.

He's important, but only indirectly.

Here's a pictuurrreee! Sorry for the long time of inactivity. I have no idea what happened, but I couldn't get any new incentives up. Guess I was just busy with holiday preparations and festivities. This wasn't used as an incentive just because I was on a short deadline to get it done by Christmas! It's a Christmas picture, of sorts! Hope you're not sick of Raenlin. You probably will be soon.

Yes, yes! I was getting to it. I put it up on dA first and then I'm like, "I'm missing something..." Then either Christmas or the next day I'm like, "OH! The website!" and then today I was like "OH! NDA! Crap!" So it got around everywhere slowly. XD It just took me a while!

It's a new chibi this time - Lavernus! He's one of the gods that will appear in chapter 6. Sneaky little devil, that one. A little info about Lavernus:

He's the god of sorrow, fear, treachery, slavery, sickness, and all that bad stuff. He's also the humans' creator god, like Cernuune is with satyrs and Nohtaz/Bthoro are to Kirsaians. Lavernus was born out of Nohtaz's sorrow and... well, I'd say more, but it would probably include spoilers. All will be revealed. If there's anyone who would dispense this kind of info in-story, it's Faustulus. Chapter 7 will get into that.

I did some pictures for a friend... ugh, I really don't much like taking requests from people. I should open commissions or something sometime and try to make some money doing this sort of thing. ANYWAY! They turned out pretty well! There were three of them.

All the same character, but he's a fox demon (if I remember correctly). He usually stays in a human form, sometimes goes into a fox form for doing sneaky or quick stuff, and seldom goes into a hybrid form because it's energy-consuming and impractical for daily use, I guess. Hope you like.



Also, I take it Lavernus wasn't very popular? I'll be working on something for a new incentive, soon.

I think Lavernus was just wierd. He was cool, but weird... That's all I can say about him... That's why I didn't post before. Didn't think the post would be long enough.

Well, I guess he's kinda supposed to be a little weird... I mean, he's supposed to look like this overly-aged but young slave guy, he's supposed to be rather creepy... But that's why I gave him more kiddish proportions, is because physically he would look something like a very aged 13-year-old. *shrugs* Seems to work with his domain.

Interestingly, though he controls over misery and pain, death is outside his domain... That's a different god.

Ummmmyeah. That's all I got. Eh, I like his design anyway. He's going to appear in chapter 7, scheming with Nohtaz and threatening Raenlin.
