Excellent idea! Shading is fantastic and I realize you're quite far along here, but the left (from my perspective, not the wolf-person's) side of the face is bothering me a little. Even if you just lower the eye a little it'll help loads with the anatomy. Also if you want to make the head more human, shrink the ruff a little and use that neat little reference that was supplied by Vistalgian-Dragon ;)
