How positively nightmare-ish. I love it.

Your perspective is a little off once you get further back towards the tent (it is a tent, right?) but with persepctive one expects you to get it perfect, especially when it is so far in the background. -That is unless you were my old art teacher, who expected 11yr olds to be able to draw a scaled and shaded lion from a real life study to perfection-
Anyway; The anatomy of the face could do with some work, unless that is your style.
That's it for my lame excuse of pointers.

What I find most enthralling, is the way the shadow creatures on the left look like they are beckoning the child to open the door, while the one on the right looks like it is trying to warn him of the dangers. Is this an on going theme/comic? or just a random piece?

Heh yeah, I'm not really sure where the door goes... so I guess that's why the perspective's dodgy. This is just a random thingy, but I might extend it, not really sure.

I like the stylisation and overall composition/perspective. His right (our right) eye bothers me a bit though, when only the eyes port is blackened it seems like the eye is entirely missing so unless that was what you were going for it might be good to darken the entire right side of his face ^^

I personally like the surreal perspective. Except, perhaps, that the house seems to be facing the wrong way.
