Yes, I'll get back to "Triumph" one of these days...
But since I'm having issues getting started on my next comic page, I'm drawing... wolves? I didn't use much in the way of references, so critique the basic anatomy. And yes, the faces are cartoony. >:3
I rarely draw canine-beasties.

I'm no pro with wolf anatomy, but...well, they seem a bit too delicate to be wolves. Do you know what I mean? I have a hard time believing, when I look at those wolves that they could survive in the wild, the just don't look quite, tough enough...

your wolves are cool! I would like to show something only. these are my cartoon wolves (dont look at their head, theye are cartoon figures!). look at their neck, their head can be found horizontally rather, not vertically, than at the dogs

Ya, I agree with Dragonica's red...er... blue lines. Canine heads are usually horizontal.

Ah! Thanks for that. The neck thing is useful. I'll see if I can fark around with that a little bit~
And thanks for pointing out the "delicate" anatomy thing. Gah, I have to stop looking at sparkledogs!

Update! I made their heads lower and their necks more horizontal, and I made them a bit flufflier and stuff. I think the neck problem is (perhaps for the most part) solved, but I can't decide whether or not they still look too delicate.

Much agreed! But I still have one critique: are you thinking of placing muscles to make him more suitable looking for a wolf?

Well, that's why I'm asking if they need more work to make them look less "delicate".

Are you referring to the little one or the big one, and where do you think they need the most work?

Hm...the larger one looks fine, because you can't really see the back legs; the front legs are fine. I'm referring to the littler one, because that's the one that catches my eye as "delicate." The legs look thin, to me, and wolves are usually very buff and muscular. I'm going off real-life wolf anatomy (and healthy, wild wolves, too). But it also depends on what you're thinking of them as: wild, or more canine-like (like a domestic dog). You idea and mine can be a different idea, which could alter what I think might need to be changed.
