I'm back! Out of boredom. All my art friends mysteriously disappeared, so here I am again. Read on for the description on this thing. If it's too big I can resize.

Scientists, now being able to send rovers to planets in different solar systems, set their eyes on the planet X357, the planet, being very similar to Earth except for a lighter atmosphere, showed promising signs of life. In the year 2056 a rover was sent there, and in the year 2078 it arrived and landed successfully on the planet. Unfortunately, the rover disengaged from the satellite before schedule and landed in a lifeless desert area. All systems worked perfectly, thankfully, and Earth saw the first signs of life on a planet unknown to them in more detail than imagined. There were weather systems and plants that seemed very similar to Earths. Hours after landing, signs of movement appeared. The images captured only showed bits and pieces of the creature before it disappeared. Here is a compilation of what the scientists observed, it is still not clear what the creature looked like.

My original idea for this picture is this. The brain is glowing, yes, but the true colors of the creature only show in the light of the glowing brain. This creature is also a tree climber, the back limbs are made for grasping onto trees and holding it steady. The atmosphere is lighter and gravity is less intense so different, less stable body shapes can come out of evolution or deformities. The jaw itself is made of the cheek and chin of the creature and the tops of its arms. It can break down bones this way and is also useful for defense.

This picture was intentionally made for CoW, but I didn't feel like finishing it at the deadline (I was also busy that week). I did, however, finish it.

Nice work and great colour job! I really like this a lot. I like your usage of the digital brushes for this, it gives it a very eerie feel. :)

Thank you. I try to be creepy in my art sometimes. Sometimes it comes out anyways. :)

Ohey, toni! Nice to see you 'round these parts again!

The piece looks awesome; very good form and color, and really good variation of detail and contrast. Looks very professional! Do you still use a mouse for your digital works, or have you braved the world of tablets yet? Either way, it's still awesome! Hope to see ya posting! 8D

Oh, and, "If it's too big I can resize.", it actually is a bit big, yes. Images should be below 800 pixels, or posted as a link. Either way. :)

I still use a mouse. Yes. I haven't changed in that sense. It's just another tool!

Oh...I want one for a pet! He's so cute! And the story that accompanies it makes it even better.
