Perhaps Thor hadn't realized at first what a task this would prove to be, seeing as though he was soon reeling in the enormous wyrm. Fortunately as though it would seem, he apparently failed in his little fishing trip, which is just as well. For legend tells that if the Midgard Worm were to let its tail out of its mouth, the world would end..."
