ok this is a story that king of just popped into my head one day and i thought to myself, "Self, that would be a really kewl book."
and here we are now.....this tends to happen alot.....anyways the story is based in first person, just wanted to see if i could do it.
oh yeah and i have no title thought up for it yet. enjoy ^_^

I sighed. I couldn’t believe I was actually here. Here being the famous Phenecian University on their home world. Only the most talented Phenecian students even got the chance to take the entrance exam and then only half made it in after that.
I was only human and not even a talented one at that. I wasn’t stupid but I was a very far cry from genius. My grades throughout my educational career weren’t the best, I passed and that was good enough for me.
So it came as a shock to me when the acceptance letter addressed specifically to me arrived in our big black mailbox at home on earth. At first I had thought the postal service had made a mistake but there on the flexie screen was my name; Aerica Parsh, age 26 graduated with associate degree in computer science from United College. Needless to say it threw me for a loop. My parents were excited for me as were my older brother and his family along with my little brother.
At the Stellar Station my family and I waited for my ship to be ready for take off.
“Now you behave yourself, you hear?” Mom told me as she hugged me and then tucked a stray hair behind my right ear. Amanda Parsh was a beautiful woman, her hair was beginning to turn grey again, time to redo the color back to black, unless she was gonna go with something different; as long as it wasn’t orange again I was happy.
“Call as often as you can. Study hard girlie.” Dad hugged and kissed me on the head. Joseph Parsh, my dad, well he was the best dad ever! Ok so maybe I was biased, he had gone bald at an early age so baldness on men didn’t bother me. What hair he had was grey along with his beard.
I looked at my older brother Justin as he stood next to his wife Cassandra with their two children Vorlon 7 and Lafonda. Well that’s what Justin would have loved to call them, their real names are John and Sally; Cassy wouldn’t let him name them the other names. Go figure.
Justin hugged me goodbye, “Well, have fun stay out of trouble.”
“Oh Justin you know me it’s so hard to be good.” I told him jokingly sticking my tongue out at him. Growing up people commented on how well behaved my brothers and I were. Unlike most teens and preteens our ages we were too lazy to rebel. We found that it was just a heck of a lot better life if you listened and obeyed your parents. Needless to say some of our friends thought we were insane.
I hugged Cameron, my younger brother, goodbye then turned towards the boarding terminal, my luggage was already aboard, and almost ran smack into Geroge.
Since I was the only human in history to ever be chosen to go to the Phenecian’s university I wasn’t allowed to decline. The News had jumped all over it like an anthill on a donut. I even got a letter from the Council. They requested that I “seize” this opportunity. It was a wonderful way to phrase an order; the flexie had even had gold trim.
Geroge was my personal media team. It was a camera bot. It, I liked to think of it as he, was going to stay with me for the next four years while I tried to survive the university, little did I know how literal that would be.
He was spherical in shape with a few odd points sticking out. He had a big lens in the middle that seemed to stare right through me; or maybe that was me wishing to be invisible.
“Ready Geroge?” I asked him as I stepped around him. He beeped at me and the translation chip they had implanted behind my right ear supplied the meaning.
I was born ready!
Geroge was defective. The technician’s term for having a personality. The head honchos had wanted to upgrade the technology, their term for replace, but I had refused. I had taken a shine to him, and since I was kinda the peak of the news at the moment my wish became their command. That and they hated spending money.
I shook my head at him as I waved to the lens. I hadn’t wanted a whole lot of people at my departure so Geroge was recording it to transmit later.
To no surprise the Council had made an appearance. The tallest, Council member Mechek, stepped forward from the rest. They all wore long robes that effectively hid any hint of their individual gender, and the different mask each one wore didn’t help either.
“Young Aerica Parsh. Today you take a bold step in our history as the first human to attend the Phenecian University of Knowledge.” Mechek’s synthesized voice emanated from the speaker set in the mouthpiece of his/her mask.
I listened with polite attention as he/she droned on and on and on…and on. Mechek finally came to an end as the intercom overhead called for passengers to board.
“Yes…sir?” I asked him hesitantly and continued at his nod of approval, “I will do my best.”
“That is all any of us could ask of you.” He slowly floated back to stand in the line of the other six council members.
I smiled hesitantly at them as I slowly turned towards my ship’s loading terminal. I took a deep breath and took a step forward. I concentrated on putting one foot in front of the other as I made my way to the door. If I had tripped and fallen I would have curled up and died. Luckily I didn’t have a Murphy moment. My good friend Sasha and I had decided that together we were Murphy’s Law, I’m Murphy she’s Law.
I glanced back over my shoulder as I stepped through the door and saw my family smiling at me. I smiled back and waved till they were out of sight.

i guess this would be the end of chapter 1 but i mean i don't have a whole bunch written
lemme know what ya think

Jumping back to the present I stared at the doors of the university trying to gather the courage to walk through them. School didn’t officially start for another week, but those who lived in the dorms of the school needed to be here to get settled.
“So go in already, we’ve been standing here for at least twenty minutes.” Geroge complained as he floated next to my right shoulder.
I glared at him then turned my attention back to the door. I took a deep breath and stepped forward. The door handle was smooth and cold despite the warmth of the day. I pulled and the door swung open silently. The cool air that flooded out the door made me shiver.
I stepped through with Geroge right behind me. I stopped so fast that Geroge bumped me and made me stagger a step forward.
“Why did you stop so fast? A little warning would have been nice.” He beeped at me agitated. I didn’t respond I was to busy gawking at the view in front of me. Geroge hummed in thought looking at me. I glanced at him then turned him to face what I saw.
He whistled in appreciation. The ceiling was way too high to make out, the entrance was a circular room ringed with railings on the different levels of the building. In the center of the massive room was a statue depicting a Phenecian holding a book and pointing off into the distance, I’m guessing it was suppose to be deeply symbolic.
Phenecian physiology was close to ours, the only main differences were the wings and eyes. Phenecian’s wings came in all shapes, color, and sizes depending on their family genealogy. From what little Phenecian history happened to stay with me from schooling, Phenecians used to have a class society and the classes were based on their wing type. The upper class wings were hard to describe, I had to go with glowing tendrils. The middle class was your basic feathery variety, while the lower class was leathery.
The statue did a fair impression of an upper class Phenecian. I studied the face that wasn’t there. It was a blank outline of what a head should look like.
I shrugged and made my way around it, behind the statue was a reception area. The receptionist behind the desk was a lovely female Phenecian; though being human every Phenecian was beautiful compared to me. She had long jet black hair, a thin face, and black leather wings.
From what I understood the color of their wings corresponded with the color of their natural hair color. I walked up to the counter and cleared my throat politely.
She looked up at me and I had to resist the instinct to flee. The other part of Phenecian physiology that was different from ours is their eyes, where our eyes are white theirs are colored and hers were black like her hair. The irises of her eyes were a deep gold.
I smiled tentatively at her, “Hi my name is Aerica-
“Parsh. Yes of course.” She interrupted me then began pulling up the right files on her terminal. If you were good you could read a terminal interface from the wrong side. I was never that good. That and it was in Phenecian.
For all I knew it could read, This person is insane and should be locked up. It was probably true.
“Yes you are going to be roomed in room 1146. Please take your things and settle in. I hope your stay is enjoyable.” With that she handed me my key and turned back to her terminal.
I thanked the side of her head and picked up my bags. Geroge followed me to the elevators. Once the doors closed I breathed out the breath I was holding since she looked up at me.
“Nervous?” Geroge beeped at me. I smiled at him, “Only a little.” I pushed the button for the 11th floor and waited while the elevator slowly rose.
I slowly peeked around the corner when the doors opened. Nothing jumped out at me; I don’t know why I was so nervous. I stepped out of the elevator with Geroge behind me. I glanced left then turned right to look at the numbers on the doors. The doors were only a couple feet apart, certainly not enough to hold a room.
That’s when I remembered one of the wonderful technological advances the Phenecians brought with them; Dimensional Shifting. They could fit an entire continent into a single 10X10 cell if they really wanted to. I have no idea why they would, but they could.
The numbers on the door increased in number from 1187 to the right so I headed left. Geroge floated behind me occasionally beeping in appreciation of the artwork on the wall.
“Hey Aerica! Come check this one out.”
I back tracked to where he was next to a portrait of some person. At first I thought the man in the picture was human because he had no wings, but the eyes instantly corrected that theory. The man in the picture had fire red hair and so his eyes were fire red with green irises. It was an interesting combination to say the least.
“Wonder why he doesn’t have wings?” Geroge said floating closer to the picture.
I knew, I just knew, we were in trouble when a shadow fell over both of us and a deep rumble came from behind us. Looking at the shadow I could tell that whatever was behind us was huge, and definitely not human.

heres the rest of what i have so far. I work on this one sparringly cause its all off the top of my head. hope it doesn't put ya to sleep.

I turned to see a Vol. Now for those of you who haven’t met one, well they’re HUGE! This particular one was actually considered small by Vol standards. He stood straight around about 8’ but most Vols tend to stoop so he hovered around 7’.
He was at least 5’ across the shoulders, he had massive tree trunk arms and legs.
Vols all had triangular faces. Their hairs were these tentacle things that fell in waves from the crown of the head. They all had red glowing tattoos that covered their bodies in intricate designs, the tattoos usually made their blue skin even darker to almost black.
This Vol had bright blue tattoos. His name was Vol Jerrin and the reason he had blue tattoos was because he was a scholar and not a warrior of his species. I didn’t find this out till after I had calmed down enough to ask.
After the initial shock of seeing a Vol face to chest, I introduced myself and Geroge. Vol Jerren extended his left hand and traced my right ear with his six fingers in the Vol sign of greeting. I smiled and held out my hand, he grasped it carefully, mine disappeared into his, and we shook hands.
“Where is your room Jerrin?” I asked him politely. Jerrin looked up and down the hallway and shrugged.
“The lady at the reception gave me a key to room 1146.” He said holding up an identical key to mine. He held it delicately with the talons of thumb and forefinger.
“Ah, they must want all the aliens in the same room. Better way to keep track of us.” I said with a smile that quickly went from my face at the look of hurt and confusion on Jerrin’s.
“Why would they wish to keep track of us? Do they not trust us?”
“No Jerrin, I was joking.” I quickly told him. Jerrin cocked his head at me in confusion.
“What is this joking?”
I had to suppress the insane laughter that threatened to bubble from my lips.
“Joking means I was not being serious. I was giving a fake radical explanation that couldn’t be true.” I explained.
He seemed to accept this answer though I couldn’t quite follow it myself, seriously how do you explain joking to a species that had no sense of humor?
I smiled then headed down the corridor, Jerrin followed with Geroge floating behind him still video recording.
“So Jerrin, why are you here?” I asked him for something to talk about. I glanced back to see him shrug his shoulders.
“I received an acceptance letter and couldn’t not go, who would pass on an opportunity to learn from the teachers of the Phenecian best?”
“That’s interesting, I received a letter as well, it was pretty much the same story for me. I’m the first human to be accepted to go.” I told him a little pride sneaking into my voice.
Jerrin looked at me in amazement, “I did not know this information. Was the entrance exam difficult?”
I laughed, “I didn’t take it. The letter arrived in my mailbox and so far no one has found a reason why I couldn’t come.”
“That is interesting.” Jerrin mumbled.
“It’s creepy is what it is.” Geroge beeped. I laughed and Jerrin looked at me quizzically. I pointed at Geroge, “He was talking to me and he said something I found amusing.”
“Ah a translator chip, yes?” Jerrin asked noticing the scar behind my right ear. I nodded. I looked back at the doors and found we were nearing our number.
I slowed my pace to better look for our door. I read the numbers silently to myself, 1149, 1148, 1147, and 1146.
I stopped in front of our door, it looked like all the other doors in reality but for some reason it looked a little menacing to me.
“Well go in.” Geroge beeped nudging me in the back. I glanced at him in irritation. Taking a deep breath I inserted my card key into the slot by the door, there was a slight hum then a beep. The door hissed slightly as it slid open into the wall.
Try as hard as I might, I couldn’t stop myself thinking what would happen if the power went out and I was stuck in the room.
“Oh please, you’d think you were exploring a tomb like Indiana Jones, or Sylvester Haper. I highly doubt its booby trapped.” Geroge rammed me from behind when I didn’t enter the room. I stumbled forward and tripped over something around ankle level.
That’s when the lights came on, with me spread eagled on the floor. I couldn’t help but notice in my embarrassment that the carpet was quite comfortable.
“Geroge I’m going to disassemble you.” I threatened.
“I could help with that.” The voice came from somewhere over my head, I tilted my head to see who had said it and saw a male Phenecian standing over me.
He was cute, he had blond hair that was cut short, his eyes were a butterscotch color, the irises ice blue, and he was muscled but not a body builder. He was a middle class Phenecian with golden feathery wings, he wore jeans and a special shirt made for Phenecians that fit around their wings, it was dark blue.
The fact that I knew him didn’t do anything for calming my embarrassment or the flush of color to my cheeks.
“Tristan?” I asked sitting up onto my knees.
His big goofy grin greeted me as he held out his hand to help me up the rest of the way.
“How’ve you been? Why aren’t you wearing glasses?” I cried dropping my bags and hugging him, being careful not to crush his wings.
He hugged me back as he answered, “I’ve been well, I switched to contacts, not to sound rude or anything but, what the heck are you doing here?”
I laughed, “I’ve been wondering the same thing. I figured you would get in because you’re the smartest person in the known universe. But me?”
I shrugged to convey my point. Tristan was the smartest person I knew, and he had common sense as well, which was rare in geniuses. Tristan had been an exchange student at my college and since we were both misfits we became friends, much to the irritation of the popular and beautiful college girls.
He was the reason I passed my math classes, without him it would never have happened. He had the special talent of dumbing things down enough for me to understand.
“So what classes do you have?” I asked as I scooped up my bags again totally forgetting the others till a polite beep in my ear reminded me.
“Oh gosh speaking of rude, Tristan this is Vol Jerrin, and the hunk of scraps there is Geroge.”
Tristan shook Jerrin’s hand and nodded at Geroge, “This is the one you wanted to disassemble?”
“Watch it buddy.” Geroge beeped, I giggled and shook my head when Tristan looked at me quizzically.
“Yes he can be a pain sometimes, but I don’t think it would be worth the sweat to do it.” I said sticking my tongue at Geroge.
Tristan laughed as we all piled into the living room. I was taken aback by the furnishings. The entranceway opened into a circular living room that looked like it belonged in a mansion and not a college dorm room. I wasn’t too crazy about the color choices, it was kind of monochromatic.
Black leather couches, which looked comfortable but were probably as hard as granite, white carpet, yeah that was gonna be multicolored by the end of the week, and red decorations ranging from lamps to odd stick thingies that were probably considered art in some past era.
“There are four bedrooms, I’ve claimed the first on the right, the kitchen is through the double doors, it’s amazing, and there’s a bathroom in each bedroom.” Tristan said playing host.
I placed my bags on the floor so I could better explore without knocking breakable things. Geroge floated behind me as I made my past the corridor that led to Tristan’s room; the door at the end had a makeshift sign on it that proclaimed that fact. I smiled at the sign as I walked past it and the next corridor, I turned down the third.
“How close were you and Tristan?” Geroge beeped.
I laughed, “Jealous are we?”

Geroge hummed in aggravation, “No. I was just curious; the peeps back home will want to know. Old romances always make good stories.”
I rolled my eyes as I tried to ignore the realization that inadvertently I had become a celebrity.
“Tristan and I are just good friends.” I answered his question as I continued my exploration to another door, though many times I had wished we were more. I opened it carefully poking my head through. This room seemed nice enough; the bed looked cheaply comfortable; apparently they had spent their dorm-room budgets on the décor. I moved into the room and Geroge followed, we moved towards the bathroom flipping on lights as we went.
It took me a minute to figure out how the door worked, the artsy décor also included the door handles and dresser knobs; once I figured it out, with Geroge laughing at me, we walked into the biggest bathroom I had ever seen.
The tub was big enough to be a swimming pool. The décor also flowed into the bathroom and I knew I was going to need manuals to figure out how to work everything, or one night without an audience.
The toilet looked simple enough but the extra faucets on the tub kind of threw me. Luckily the tub also played as a shower. I was impressed. The tuition fees must be really steep with all this stuff, luckily for me the Council had taken care of the bill.
I made my way back to the living room to gather my bags and start settling into the room. Tristan had sat on the couch and waited while Jerrin and I explored. He stood up when I came in from the hallway.
“Decided on a room yet?” Tristan asked me picking up my biggest bag. I blushed, Tristan always played the gentleman, and nothing I ever said deterred him from doing it.
“Yeah, to help me make up my mind I’ll just take the one I was just in and not look at the others.” I grabbed the rest of my bags, all of them together dwarfed by the one Tristan had, before Tristan could grab anymore.
“Oh we can’t have that. You should be happy with the room you get.” Tristan said putting the bag down. I raised my eyebrow at him in confusion as I set my bags back down. He laughed at me as he took my hand, sending shocks up my arm, and led me to the other rooms.
“Jerrin has already chosen the one next to mine, but let’s take a look at the last, shall we?” Tristan smiled at me as I rolled my eyes trying to play it cool even though my heart threatened to jump out my chest and do the Macarena. I had forgotten how much he affected me, hating myself every minute for being such a girl, but loving every minute of his hand holding mine.
“It really isn’t necessary-“ I stopped short as he pushed me through the doorway.
This room was incredible. The bed looked so comfortable and was a queen size, unlike the other which was single. There was a writing desk on one wall and couches on another. I walked through the door to the bathroom and was even more surprised.
This bathroom was even bigger than the other but still had the fruffy décor. The tub was smaller than the other but it was still big enough to be a pool. The bathroom literally looked like the ones in the old anime cartoons. It was kinda crazy.
“Well?” Tristan asked me.
“Yeah I think I’ll take this one.” I said after clearing my throat.
“Excellent!” Tristan rushed off to get my bags and I chased after him.
Amid protest of ‘I can get them’ Tristan grabbed all of my bags before I could stop him and headed to the room I had chosen. He deposited them on the bed and sat down on the couch.
I shook my head at him as I started unpacking my things, leaving the clothes for a later time when Tristan wasn’t in the room, or Geroge.
“Have you seen the kitchen yet?” Tristan asked me as I put my favorite books in order on the shelves next to the bed. I placed my bible on the nightstand along with my fan, I couldn’t sleep without one going; something had to cover the silence of the night.
“No, I was too busy gawking at the room, so I haven’t made it there yet.” I answered squishing down the bag I had just emptied.
“Well then, let’s go.” Tristan said jumping up and grabbing my hand before I could start on another bag. He pulled me along behind him and Geroge floated behind me.
Jerrin was in the living room and looked up when we exited my room. Tristan still smiling led me through a hallway into the kitchen. It was very nice, it looked like the kitchens in the cooking shows that one always wanted but never had the money for.
There was a massive fridge, a fairly big oven, a stove top, pots and pans hung on hooks above the island; I fell in love with the sink, it was huge!
“Well, what you think?” Tristan asked me, he had let go of my hand so I could walk around the room.
I let out a giggle, “I believe I’m in love.”
Tristan laughed, “Yeah I figured you’d like it.”
“Very nice.” Jerrin said from the doorway. Geroge floated in front of him and beeped his agreement.
“Old friend indeed…” Geroge beeped at me, I had unconsciously moved closer to Tristan to where all I had to do was move my hand an inch to touch his. I glared at Geroge as I moved a little bit away from Tristan. Tristan didn’t notice, go figure. He never seemed to notice, but I tried not to let my disappointment show, tried but not always successful.
I looked in the fridge just to see what was in there when a cry and a crash came from the entrance. I shut the fridge and followed after Tristan as he headed to the entrance. Geroge followed behind me taping everything.
I heard cursing and rounded the corner into the hallway to see a Vespan sprawled out on the floor like I had been. The Vespan continued to curse as she got to her feet her tail twitching in agitation.
The Vespans were a feline-humanoid species. Yes they have the cat ears, fur, tail, and whiskers. No one knows where they originally called home, but the Vespans just showed up one day a few hundred years ago in our galaxy and decided to stay for the time being. Being nomadic they slowly moved across the galaxy and in time would leave it altogether. Not your typical friendly alien, but don’t mess with them and they might not mess with you.
This Vespan was a female, of the third class, not married, warrior. I took all this information in at a glance, Vespans had always fascinated me. Being a female of the third class was evident by her female anatomy and the three silver earrings in her right ear that tingled when she twitched that ear. Not married because she had no ring chain, very painful looking ring that pierces through the flesh into the bone of their right middle finger and is connected to a piercing in their husband, since no male was present, not married. And warrior due to the scars that were evident under her garment, which was the typical halter top, tight pants, and boots her species loved to wear.
“Hi.” I managed and got a glare for.
“My name is Tristan, and this is Aerica, and Geroge.” Tristan said, playing host once again, motioning to me then Geroge. The Vespan pursed her lips in thought considering her next move. She stuck out her hand and Tristan grasped it firmly shaking it.
“My name is KarLail.” She said in a purring voice her bright green eyes playful. She had long curly fire orange hair that matched her tiger strip pattern fur well. Her lithe female figure made me feel fat just by looking at her. I knew that was just her pheromones but it didn’t make me feel any better.
“Could you keep your mating signals to yourself?” I asked her in her native tongue. Tristan didn’t know her particular dialect, I was surprised I knew it, but her stripes were of a particular clan that I had had dealings with before.
KarLail stared at me dumbstruck that I spoke her language; I was a bit taken aback at my rudeness; that was also caused by the pheromones. But it did the trick and she reigned in her pheromones with a sly smile on her face.
”Alright, I’ll stay away from your man. But you let him go and he is fair game.” She purred back at me. I mumbled under my breath that he wasn’t mine to begin with as I flushed bright red. Tristan was clueless to the exchange between us.
KarLail picked up her bag and pushed past us to the living room,

i was bored and had an idea strick me it hurt ;p hope you like ^_^

KarLail picked up her bag and pushed past us to the living room, she immediately turned down the hallway that led to the vacant room. She deposited her stuff on the bed and then came back into the living room and saw Jerrin for the first time. She immediately crouched back into a defensive stance with a hiss.
“Woah, its ok KarLail.” I cried and stepped in between her and Jerrin before she could pounce. Vespans and Vols tended to not get along very well something about an old interstellar war that nobody won and left both species devastated for a good while.
She pounced anyway, and landed on top of me, luckily she was wearing boots so her claws didn’t shred me to pieces. She hissed again as I tried to breathe, she was heavy.
Jerrin back peddled away from her, his eyes going wide. He was a scholar not a fighter. KarLail stepped off of me as she followed him. Tristan stepped in between her and Jerrin as I rolled over and gasped for air.
“Stop.” Tristan commanded. KarLail just glared at him and made a swipe for his face. Tristan had the sense to duck out of the way and KarLail pushed past him to get at Jerrin who cowered away from her.
I have no idea what possessed me to jump straight for the whirlwind of claws but I did. I hit her at the middle; she and I tumbled toward the entrance to our dorm room. The door opened and we rolled through. She was too far into her bloodlust to realize who I was. I was doing good not to get slashed by her claws as she elbowed and kneed me. I fought back as best as I could.
We hit the railing, well I did, KarLail landed on me and she pulled me up and threw me to the left. I landed and rolled to my feet, and looked up in time to see KarLail jump straight into me. Unfortunately the stairs were right behind me.
Next thing I knew we were airborne heading for the first landing down from the one we were just on. KarLail let go of me to land safely, and somehow I landed and rolled back up again. She didn’t relent as she came at me once more. I got into a fighting stance as she came and I blocked her swipe with my left arm and aimed a punch at her face.
It connected and I followed that one with another then a kick to her side. I didn’t pull any of my attacks, the only way to get her out of Bloodlust was to a: kill her, or b: knock her out.
She grabbed my arm as I went to punch again and pulled me. She slammed me into the wall and then grabbed the back of my head to shove it through the wall. I struck out my left arm and twisted using her momentum to turn her and me around to where she slammed up against the wall instead of me. I elbowed her in the stomach and ran away from her up the stairs.
She chased after me, she was faster than I was and caught up quickly. As I bounded up the stairs practically jumping from landing to landing, she came up behind me and latched onto my foot. Her claws dug deep and I cried out in agony as the fire raced up my leg. I stumbled and fell.
She was right there as I went down and she landed on top of me. She raised her hand claws extended ready to slice my face. I tried to bring my arm up to block but she had landed on me with my left arm pinned. She had grabbed my right arm and held it out of the way.
My eyes had to have been the size of serving plates as I watched her arm swing down. I shut my eyes and waited for the searing pain. It didn’t come, instead her weight lifted off of me and I heard her scream in rage. I opened my eyes and saw Tristan throw KarLail back down the stairs. She rolled down a few flights then regained her feet and came at us.
Tristan grabbed my arm and lifted me into his and took off of the landing into the air away from the railing. I clung to Tristan with all my might staring down at the first floor. I hadn’t realized how much we had gone up from the eleventh floor.
“Its ok Aerica, I got you.” Tristan said holding me tighter. My stupid heart skipped a beat when he said that. I let loose a little so he could breath, relaxed by his words.
KarLail howled in rage as she paced on the landing by the rails, thinking of a way to get to us. Like a caged tiger would pace at the old zoos on earth.
Tristan beat his wings to keep us in place, “Now what?”
“I think she’ll eventually calm down. We just got to keep her in one s-“ I was cut short when KarLail climbed the railing and launched herself at us. She slammed into us and ripped me from Tristan’s arms. I didn’t feel fuzzy and warm anymore as she and I plummeted towards the ground.
She still fought me as we fell. I fought back trying not to get skewered by her claws, twisting in the air to avoid them. Out of the corners of my eyes I saw Phoenicians on the levels we passed watching us fall in horror.
Some dropped what they were carrying and took off after us. Tristan was right behind us and reached his hand out for one of us to grab. I tried to reach his hand but KarLail sensing me, her prey, about to escape swipped at my hand and grabbed it, digging her claws in, effectly latching onto me.
I cried in pain and tried to kick her. We were nearing the floor fast and my foot connected with her face and hit hard enough to shove her away. Tristan grabbed my outstretched arm and opened his wings to stop our plummet, KarLail was still latched onto my other arm and her weight plus the sudden jerk of a stop effectively dislocated it.
I cried and in my pain let go of Tristan’s hand and I slipped out of his fingers.

It's interesting. one thing I noticed however is that some of your writing is in the present and some is in the past tense other than that it it is very interesting.
