I've never hunted, mostly because no one in my family does, so no oppritunity to learn. I'd like to someday, though. Especially if I end up living in the country. I consider it better than farming because the animal can live a natural life. (Only if the hunter is responsible about it and doesn't leave injured animals wandering arround and such.)

Agreed. And somewhat cruel.

I would never, unless forced to, hunt a wolf. Ever. However, if given the chance, I would love to try my hand at game animals and birds.

EDIT: Plus, I do not believe hunting as cruel. Its pretty much as natural as living and breathing. It is only cruel if one leaves an animal to suffer for a long time, but even so in the end it is still natural. My opinion, of course.

Ok, point taken. If I absolutely had to, I would hunt for food alone. It is a huge part of nature as well, and I can accept that. But I feel that hunting as a sport alone is completely unnecessary. :annoyed:

To me, sport hunting is low. In nature, one needs to use all parts of an animal to respect it. If you hunt only to show it off in a degrading manner, then...well...I can't swear. Drawingdragon, I admit that you hunting wolves makes me uncomfortable, for deeper reasons.

For a previous post, wolf hunting is illegal in some provinces in Canada. I don't think it is in the northern regions and Alaska. Palin, go die. Nuff said.

I think that it's alright to hunt for food, like, say, predators in the wild do, but I don't approve of hunting for sport.
Didn't Palin resign? I thought I heard that on the news.

Yes, but prior to that, she encouraged wolf-hunting. :c

Why are wolves so much more special than birds or moose?

I have my reasons, but from an overall standpoint...they really aren't.

Killing a wolf, or a lion, or a bear is different to hunting for meat. You don't need to kill it, so what is the point? Especially if their numbers are already low.
I don't agree with hunting in any form, except for survival.
It's not because they are more special than any other animal- it is simply that it is a waste of life because there is no need to kill them. Meat is readily available from everywhere. You don't need to kill a wolf to survive, so it becomes a trophy kill, and that is what so many people disagree with. It's a pointless kill.

Just my oppinion :3
