Hmmm....Pan's Labyrinth is the only film so far where I haven't thought or hesitated to give it a 10 out of 10. I think the fact it's in Spanish also adds to the whole dark-fairytale thing, as I don't know spanish, so it seems so much more mysterious to me.....

I watch foregin films all the time but the fact it's in another language has ever added or subtracted anything for me.

:3 If you like creepy and Spanish films though you should totally see El Orfantao(The Orphanage). Guillermo Del Torro produced it and he also worked on Pan's Labrynth so it might be right up your alley.

i kinda love the discussions going on in this tread. XD
I kinda love all movies, but i've been getting a little tired of the "boy meets girl, falls in love, they live happily ever after" thing that always happens in Romantic comedies and such. I think it's because i've stopped believing in the fairytale of love, to a certain extent.
An amazing movie, in my opinion, was Becoming Jane, with Anne Hathaway. Mostly because it felt so real to me. Plus, i love (lovelovelove) James McAvoy.

I'm also a huge fan of Musicals. I recently watched the new Mama Mia; Epic win. I love abba. XD

Um. Anything that involves Dancing (specifically ballroom), and/or antonio banderas.

Total sci-fi spaz. Fantasy and Old fashioned thriller/suspense are great too , but today's "horror" just absolutely sucks. It's nothing but fake blood and screaming...there's nothing scary about it. Mushy stuff is usually off limits, and most comedies these days are nothing but sex jokes. Give me some good old fashioned sci fi fantasy, like Alien, Star Trek, Willow, and 10th Kingdom. That's great stuff. Some musicals are pretty good too, like the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and My Fair Lady.

I kind of like horror movies but I can't watch them because- Eeep! *Jumps and looks over shoulder* I have a drastically overactive imagination.
Anyone here seen 'Van Helsing', with Hugh Jackman? God, I loved that movie.

Yeah, that one's pretty good. Some of the acting could have used some serious work, and I wish they had redone the ending...but I'm a pretty big fan of Hugh Jackman, so it was good.
