I still need to hi-line it (the non-thick texta thing) but this is my first drawing since year 7 when i drew cars... How can I improve it (other than lining it, color etc and cleaning it up as in erasing old lines, lol now I have posted it I see how I should have done a little more cleaning!-)

edit: I didn't have a highliner on me so rubing ou wouldn't be the most practicle thing.... Also I still need to erase circles... I was going to bed and wanted to upload

Well, one thing is try to see if you can turn the picture to the left so that everybody can see it correctly. the horn on the nose seems to be a little big, try to shorten it. All in all keep working on it.

Ehrm... Not that I'm an mod or some, but shouldn't this be in the Art Critique topic?

Anyway. In my opinion it is a very good start, but I would recommend to smooth out the lines. For example, look at the tail. It starts very good, but at the end the lines are not parallel anymore. In the neck you do the same.

The wings look very good, though. You can really see the hand-like structure.

I flipped the picture and made it smaller so we could all see it. Heres what i can see:
The head looks a bit big compared to his body, at the very least his neck should be a bit thicker
His eye should be moved up or the 'eye ridge' should come down farther so that the eye is actually in it
From this angle you should be able to see part of a second horn, if he has one, and his other wing
His legs should be longer and his shoulder should be higher up on his body, I would suggest looking at a horses body for a reference
His legs and wings could stand to be a bit larger, there really isn't a chance that this dragon could fly with wings that size :-<

Overall its a very good start, especially if this is one of your first dragons. It takes some practice and patience and I'd suggest checking out some anatomy of 'similar' animals. Horses Dinosaurs lizards cats birds and bats, dragons take body parts from real animals so study some of those to get a better feel for what they should look like

Hope that helps, and sorry if it seems like a lot of critique at once. :-/

Moved to Art Critique, as the Tutorial section is for general advice, not for critique on specific images.

Also please remember that images above 800 pixels wide must be resized or posted as a link.
