Here, another WIP XD

On DA, this thing for some reason is still getting lots of favourites, so I decided to update it and do a decent version.



So yah, thought I'd throw this in here with everything else too :3 I seem to be drawing a lot more than I used to, only problem is that I find it very difficult to finish something before I start something else. I'm working on too many things at once XD

Sorry about the bad quality of the photo- the camera I used is fantastic, I just couldn't be bothered with getting a straight photo XD
Colouring is only in its very basic stage- doing layers base colours with gouache right now, will do detail with either coloured pencils or pens :3

Having major problems with the right fore and hind legs >.<

That is LOVELY. D8 The traily things are awesome - are those based off of a nightjar's trailing primaries?

To be honest I don't know where I got them from ^^' Although they probably were inspired subconciously by birds XD
The tufts at the ends are thick, flat hair (same stuff that the fan on the end of her tail is made up of :3) ^^

I was thinking of maybe doing little adoption Cheetahs over on DA. Do you think it's worth a go?

The wing markings are fine, I especially love the streaks and tips on the primaries and secondaries. :D

Umm... looking trough all the images i cant find anything to critique. :O

Why theres little flaws and even of there were some that i didnt notice, these images are good enough to conceal any hint
of any flaw/flaws.

Tiny update on the big black cat type critter from my very first post. I've just spent about an hour and a half getting frustrated with this, only the head area seems to be working out >.< Cannot seem to paint long fur :P So I've decided to put it down for a while before I loose all patience with it.
Going to be working on some requests tonight, so moar updates tomorrow probably :3

Fur only hangs straight down if its 100% clean and its not thick.

So try to imagine these 3 factors: Gravity-thickness-amouth of clean fur. This is most apparent in mustace/beard, so the fur should lean much more down on his cheek and be little less downward on his chin :D

lol, it took quite a bit for me to work that out XD My brain feels really sleep deprived and sluggish XD

I apologise if I've interpritated this the wrong way, but bascially do you mean that the fur on his cheeks is too long for it to be able to stand up and therefore needs moar volume? And that I need to put a bit of wave into the longer fur on his jaw and chin? o.O *is daft*

Nono i mean the fur on the cheek: The CURVE is too straight it needs to cure downwards more and simply be more dense like this:

As for the chin fur: Yeah, chin fur usually IS NOT 100% straight. UNLESS if its thin and soft like human hair :D

Rough layout ref for my character, Toekis, or preferably Tank.



His species are usually a lot smaller, although Tank and others like him were created through selective breeding and modification to create the biggest and strongest of the breed. They are essentially weapons, although Tank is too much of a softie really for that. Hence the OTT armour he has :3 Poor old Tank is on steroids

Any suggestions for what else could go on teh ref sheet? I'm hopeless with the damned things >.< Sorry for the messy writing XD
