well i left this on overnight, so i defiantly did not spend 13 hrs on this. about an hr, actually. anyway, many people say that I my men that I draw look too feminine? and most people say "she" when reffering to my art, and I always have to point out that its a man. can someone please point out what parts look feminine? It confuses me a bit.

Hey! I don't know if I've seen your stuff really, I'm newly active, but this guy doesn't look too feminine! I think maybe if many of your characters have long hair and defined lips like his though that may be confusing the gender. Very cool though, I really like all the warm colors and the intensity of him overall!

Usually one of the bigger factors of determining whether its a guy or girl (besides the mouth and eyes) is in the jaw/cheek bones. Because elves have narrow or angled cheek bones like girls, its sometimes easy to mistake them as girls. A good way to counteract this is in the other two factors: the eyes and lips. You got both down in this picture (which looks awesome by the way), and it looks like a guy to me. However, maybe having the narrow jaw bone combined with another factor that accidentally looks feminine is whats was causing confusion in your other pictures? Hope that helps :)

Hahaha, I can't even classify my own drawings of men as too feminine or not masculine enough. I just think if it looks good, it stays. I like- no love- your style, and I find this particular guy handsome as heck. >//<

Hi every one! Haven't been on in a long time cause of college ha! If anyone remembers me from drawing the elemental unicorns (with the bent horn) lol. Any way this is Naru and she is my newest Mermaid character. She was a bit difficult to copy off of my original so i just kept the shape of the tail :P Ugh the background is a bit sloppy but I didn't want to take away the focus of Naru and her color. I hope you like her!

Hmmm, this was suppose to be a quick one...but my hand wouldn't stop drawing. This is one of my dragon characters from a special dragon project of mine. I wanted to draw a simple version of her, but a detailed version is just as good.

I love the complementary stuff going on here, and the shiny smoothness of the underbelly. You've got quite a talent for textures.

Oh my gosh, thank you all for you wonderful comments! I didn't think this picture would get that much attention. My favorite thing to draw is dragons, so when people like them it makes me happy :D

Because on the site it says 13 years and older can make an account. If you are, then I'm not sure why it's not working. As it has been roughly a year since i first posted my OC Daedrid on this site, (And owing the need to provide Heather with a further reference for him- Enjoy) I decided to do a right aul' revamp of Daedrid's first Ever appearrance on NDA. So, he's in this weird underground cavern thing, and it aint really lightening but a sort of pant that grows there, and the roots sort of shoot downward to soak up the moisture from the watery stuff.

this is just really really cool and intense looking. everything i so dark and all of the colors totally pop out! he looks great! i think the only thing I would say about it is probably to move the eye down a bit!

I really like the shape of the horns. It's difficult to critique the character because he has such unique anatomy. But I think that his back feet could benefit from some more shape. Right now they look a little tall and boxy. [link] Here's a picture of a dog paw to illustrate what I mean. Those long fingers are so sinister-looking.

@Dreya. I understand what you mean about his legs being a bit too tall, and boxy, but truth be told i find it quite hard to get them right anyway. I was also trying to make it look as though he is leaning forward or something. Sorry about the link as well.

Just the overall definition of everything is improved, and the contrast of light and dark is stunning......you seem to be really good at creating low lighting as well as defining dark objects, something I have trouble with. I like the plants as well, and his acid saliva.

Nice work.
I think you could have benefited from some heavier dimensional shading. I love the way you did the jewelry and the anatomy of the neck and shoulders. The hair texture seems a little incongruous when compared to how 'sharp' the rest of the picture looks. Nice coloring too.

I agree with flood control - go a little deeper on the shadows and a little brighter on the highlights. But this is very nice, I love all the colors in the hair and I especially like the detail in the earring and necklace.

Kmish and Arid. The tan flying cats with big ears...okay so Kmish isn't a flying cat but he kinda looks like one.

Lemmy has been very supportive and kind to me as I prepared for my big test that's tomorrow, and I really want to give her a hug. But I hate hugs and Lemmy is like 6 hours away, so instead I had my character Kmish give her character Arid a hug. I have no idea if Arid likes hugs...Arid belongs to Lemmy.
