This was just ridiculously too time-consuming. Ugh, this is why I generally only draw one subject. FYI, I was challenging myself - I didn't even finish, n.6 is missing. Some were pretty easy to do... others were a serious pain.

For the Halloween contest. Here is jack-olantern. I used a hell hound as my mythical animal. representing items candy corn, pumpkin and bats. Black, grey, white, orange, yellow, and red where all used.
favorite animal is Chameleon.

Wow, I really like this picture! There's just so much going on. First of all, the angle is wonderful. I think you did a great job with it, especially with the hand clutching the knife. I love the blood dripping from the knife. The textures are just awesome - some of my favorites are the pumpkin guy's cravat and the Hellhound's horns. The background is simply lovely, and the shading is wonderful. Finally, I just gotta say, all the little details you included really bring this picture together. It's beautiful.

I think at some point your anatomy got a bit skewed. His arms and head and upper torso match, and you did a really good job there! but his lower body seems a bit to big for the rest of him. Like I said before, I really like how his hair is smooshed against the wall. His pose is really good too! It shows a lot of emotion. The only thing I would change about it, is maybe making him closer to the wall, perhaps with his elbow propped against it as well.

Now I need to take a moment and just gush over the detail in those pants. You put all the seams in! And the pockets! And his knee is worn! I love all these little details!

You did really well with the big cat anatomy! The only thing I think is off is that one back leg. It kind of looks like the knee is really low, right next to the ankle. For felines, their knees are usually located up close to the abdomen, so that they are basically on the same level as the body (unlike canines, their knees are lower)

Also, I think your wings look really good. You chose a rather ambitious pose for them as well. It's hard for me to describe with words how wings work, so hopefully my red line is a little helpful? My suggestion would be to look at pictures of birds, and wings and study how they're shaped and how the feather structure works. (Primaries, secondaries, coverts and the like)

But man, this is great. I love the glow, and the paw prints and the background is nice and calming!

This is pretty good.
To help with the glow, you should try using WATERCOLOUR2 tool.
It helps with blending colours together.
I might post something on the boards to show you what i mean.=D

Here are a few ideas for you with the light beams.
Make sure they are slightly triangular, with the narrowest end being near the light source(in this case, it would be the moon at the top). Use a solid brush, like the pen or pencil tool, so the beam is smooth along the edges and through the inside. try using the line tool to help keep the edges smooth. I also suggest drawing the light on a desperate layer, so you can play with it until it looks the way you like. I would draw it in a solid color, and then lower the opacity on the layer, maybe do a slight gradient effect with a low opacity airbrush eraser. If you want the light beams to look softer, you can add an airbrush over top, so the edges aren't too crisp. Maybe play with the way different colors look as light, rather than plain white.
For the glow effect on the person, make sure it is directly against the figure, instead of having that gap between. The airbrush tool is a good one for creating a glow.
I like what you've done here already. The idea is very nice.

I like the watercolors, they look very good with your style. I agree, it's easier to just use 1 layer when doing a watercolor lineless. But this doesn't look messy to me. I especially like the fur texture on Ambrosia and Crystal's cute pose.
